Without mentioning Usernames, (to prevent em-bare-ass-ment) one lady sent a bulletin out to people on her friends list and another lady sent me an email saying a really nice thing and DAMMIT, I can't reply to either one! 
Ya know, I can see giving new potential Gold subscribers say 30 days of free emails and then either subscribe or not! But just cutting off the email option cold turkey for long time non-gold subscribers like myself who's been here since 1807... is not cool!

Yes I did and it was cute- also wanted to say: you should open a 'store' on it to sell animal products (I mean like 'T' shirts 'n stuff)- wanted to reply but of course I couldn't!

Well, Som, you could always post a bulletin or blog and ask people to send you their personal email addresses. That's what I did. If I want to get in touch with somebody or vice versa it is easily done. Consequently, I don't even give this bogus email limit exceeded sham any thought or let it bother me.

Well, Som, you could always post a bulletin or blog and ask people to send you their personal email addresses.
I'm aware of that WoW and thought about it but I would have to give my personal email addy in my blog for people to send me theirs- while it protects their addys, mine gets blasted to the entire planet! A bulletin would probably work much better. I may consider that!

what I find most annoying is they let you get emails but not answer them ... and I've seen this in a couple other dating sites too.

And this whole bullshit with free members not being able to send emails when it's advertised that they can is bullshit too. Either AMD is trying force members into becoming gold, or they just don't care anymore.

Huh??? No you don't. They send their email addy to you via AMD mail, then you copy/paste it into a message from your personal account and send it to them. It may be a good idea to get a yahoo email just for AMD buds.

Guess we're not on the same page... a Gold member can do that- a non-Gold member can't... which is the crux of the email problem!
Not everyone I would like to chat with is on my 'friends' list and some I would like to chat with have left the building so for them, the bulletin isn't going to cut it! I just didn't want to 'broadcast' my Yahoo addy through the bulletin board, that's all!

I think that Bruce is trying to tell you is, you don't have to put your email addy in a bulletin.
Say, for example, I email you my email address to your inbox here...it's not on a bulletin for all to see, you just open, copy down the email address, and then mail from your own email address. That is where Bruce is saying to maybe set up a yahoo email account for AMD pals. That way you're not giving out your primary email.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here! Maybe I misstated what I meant! Of course you and pinklipstick2 (or anyone else that's a Gold member) can email me your addy through AMD but... if someone is not a Gold member, then they can't send an email with their addy to me through AMD- is that not right? It's the non-Gold members I'm talking about!!
