Of course, this is Michigan, so it isn't going to last. But oh man! It's been SO NICE having windows open and hearing the birds singing. Weather forecasters have been saying we've been 40 degrees above normal. Wow! I'm enjoying that now....just hopefully this 40 above normal isn't during the summer!  That would be just a wee bit too warm I think. 
Not a whole lot going on around here. Just work, classes, homework, work, homework, work, homework, work, work, classes....and so on. Oh wait, there was that incident with the dogs a few weeks back. We had high wind warnings, wind gusts up to 70mph, and apparently a couple of loose boards on my fence were rattled loose, well, ok, I had noticed they looked loose last fall, and figured they would be ok till spring/summer. Wrong! I let the dogs out one evening, and after a few minutes, I hear something on my front porch. So, turn on the porch light, and there is my German Shepherd standing there wagging his tail looking pleased with himself. Then, looking around, I see the other 4 running around the front yard.  So, I call them. Sasha, Princess, and Tazz all come in through the front door, Buddy, he runs to the side of the house.  So, here I am, nightshirt and slippers, running out the door after my dog. And, that's when I discover the two boards down on the ground by the fence, and when I look towards the fence, there is Buddy, in the backyard now, looking back at me.  So, I prop the boards up, go back in, go to the back door and let Buddy in the house. And, I grabbed my hammer and some nails, tried to nail it back on, and with the winds, I gave up and went in a called Dad. This is all around 9:30 at night, and it was COLD! Dogs!!!!!! I swear, never a dull moment with this bunch.
