I stopped to put gas in the car, and while waiting for the car to fill up, I saw an advertisement for Marlboro's, claiming to be "the lowest price" and about fainted. $6.09??????????? For a pack of Marlboro's????? Damn!!! I'm glad I quit smoking when I did!!!!!! A pack of generic cigarettes back then were running about $2 while Marlboro's were running almost $3. Wow...just...wow!!! What a rip off! It's ridiculous what they are charging people for these things. Yeah, "sticker shock". I just never really thought about the price for a pack of smokes anymore since I quit. Glad I did, I'd never be able to afford it with those prices. 	It's about $3.65 here $3.65? For generics in OHIO?? They're about $4.40 or more for generics here, and brand name smokes can go up to $5.50!! What's worse, if you want some premium smokes like Camel (especially non-filters), the price is even HIGHER! I'm glad I quit when I did, too. I took up pipe smoking a few years ago, and then they jacked up the taxes so high on pipe tobacco that the retail price DOUBLED!! The result? I haven't smoked my pipe for a little over a year (thanks a LOT, Obama!) Still, I understand that the percentage of smokers as opposed to the general population is about the same now as it was about 20 years ago. Talk about a sin tax!!

	$3.65? For generics in OHIO?? No, I was talking about the gas prices here in my area. I don't smoke, so I don't know nor care what the price of cigaretts are.

	I don't smoke, so I don't know nor care what the price of cigaretts are. Oh. Well, I don't drive, so I don't know or care about GAS prices! (The exception would be that it costs up to $3.00 for a gallon of milk, because we're using our grain to make fuel!!)

	It'll be April and I will have quit smoking for a year! I was smoking 'little cigars' as they call them (they were really cigarettes in brown paper to look like little cigars)- it's how they get around all of the taxes on cigarettes or so I was told! It's a taste you have to get used to- probably were floor sweepings I'm thinking. Anyway, they were $1.30/pk when cigarettes were like $4.50 or so/pk. and you could get different flavors. I never really inhaled, I just took a drag and blew the smoke out right away! Guess you could say, I was a 'lite' smoker - then finally quit over a long period of controlled reduction!

	Well, here name brand name smokes are about $4.50 a pack (Missouri has a low cigarette tax) and gas is $3.39 a gallon. Where we catch it in the ass is in meat and dairy prices.
