Woke up this morning to about 3, maybe 4 inches of snow on the ground. Princess is happy. I actually had to dig out the snow shovel and clear the driveway this morning. I think that is the second time all winter. At least I don't have to see the brown grass anymore. Now, just got to remember how to drive on snow covered roads. And yes, I'm ready for spring. I'm tired of the windows being closed...I want to open them.
So, how's everyone been? Me, busy. Work has been insane, and classes are keeping me busy. Thankfully, the mutley crue has been behaving. But I've noticed the shedding is starting to pick up. Been sweeping and vacuuming more the past week or two. With this weather, I told them they're going to be "cold", but, they keep shedding. Anyway, the EXCEL class has been going well, been holding a straight A in it. Why do I bring this up? Way back about '88, '89, (I think..been a while ya know), when programs like Word Perfect and LOTUS 123 were "the thing", I had attempted a class in LOTUS, and OMG I remember the formulas looking like they were 5 feet long! Well, ok, maybe that's a slight exaggeration. But I do remember those formulas being long. And I remember dropping that class. And haven't touched a spreadsheet program since. Well, with this degree, and with the advancements in software and such, most, if not all, offices use this software now, so, it's a "need to know" thing. And, I'm finding out that EXCEL isn't so scary, it's actually very user friendly. And the formulas for it aren't so damned long either! So yeah, I'm enjoying that class.
And the "new" car is fine. No problems with it. And wow! Is this car ever easy on gas compared to the van!! I remember back in 83, my Dad used his GM employee discount to buy a brand new Impala..it was a nice car. And the funny thing is, it was the same style and color car as what our State Police were driving at the time. Sometimes other drivers would think it was an unmarked cop car...it was funny to watch them "behave" until they realized it wasn't a cop. So, now the car I've got is a '01 Impala, and it's blue. I kidded with Dad that we can't get away from blue Impala's. They are nice cars.
Anyway..that's enough rambling for today. Got to get back to homework and then leave for work in a while. Take care, play nice...don't stay out of trouble.
