And Princess is one happy pooch. That goofy dog has been outside twice this morning already and has rolled and romped in the backyard. Yep, she's happy. The others, well, my German Shepherd being 9 years old, isn't as impressed with it as he used to be. Buddy thinks it's fun to stick his nose in the snow and sneeze. Tazz and Sasha...could care less really.

It isn't too bad really. Maybe about 3 inches around here, nothing to be worried about. If it's light enough, I could use a broom to "sweep" my driveway off. There is still a very light snow falling, so light it almost looks like a mist, but you can tell it's definitely snow. And I don't have to be into work till 2pm, so the roads should be pretty decent by then.

Well, it's Friday, that means today will be the last episode of One Life To Live. What's that? A soap opera on AMD? My grandma used to love that show, and it's sad that it's been canceled. Yes, I'll admit that I've been watching it these past 7 years. Yeah, ABC has this idea to replace it's soaps with shows that can easily be seen on the Food Network or any other talk show channel. Guess they want to save money. Granted, it does cost a lot to produce a soap, and the talk shows/reality shows are cheaper, but, I got a feeling ABC really dropped the ball because there are a lot of angry fans out there. Honestly, I never thought soaps could be canceled till way back when I used to watch one called Another World and it got canceled. So, yeah, like any other programming, when it's run it's course, eventually the networks drop it. I hear about it at work because there are a few fans there who are pissed off about this. All My Children ended it's run back in September, and was replaced by a show called "The Chew" (or as pissed off soap fans call it, The "Spew"), and from what I've heard, that show isn't doing so good. I remember being pissed off when my show, Farscape, was canceled. But I've got the full series on dvd now. Don't get me wrong, I liked OLTL, and I do like General Hospital, but, it's not the "end of the world" to me if they are canceled...although...I would be slightly bent out of shape over GH being canceled. Oh well, I'm sure there were fans who were mad/upset over the ending of westerns on tv too. Shit happens.

Play nice everyone.

We finally got some snow overnite, along with the snow squalls. it made it down to 19.

Yeah, I used to watch that and G.H. years ago, and then just only watched G.H. G.H. is not the same soap it used to be. I lost interest in it years ago and actually quit watching it reguarly 4 years ago.

So far, it's just been a dusting of snow for the last two threats here! Fortunately, I've moved so, I won't be spending 2½ hours to clear my driveway anymore- only to have it snow a few more inches the next day or so! It was good exercise, I'll give it that! Now, it should only maybe 10 to 15 minutes to clear off the driveway and sidewalk, which is probably healthier because you don't want to over do it, you know, exercise wise 'n all!

I never got into soaps- except for the late 70s sitcom Soap! That was hilarious!

Anyway, I don't watch soaps- in fact, I think they should televise 'anti' knock offs of the more popular soaps like:

All My Children it should have had an anti production named 'All My Rug Rats'!

As The World Turns Its anti production should be 'As The World Turns In Retrograde'!

General Hospital Its anti production should be a demotion as 'Major Hospital'!

Just a few of my 19 reasons why soaps don't do a thing for me!

We have been getting some winter weather...........more inclined with a Missouri winter instead of a MN winter..........but winter weather all the same.

I haven't watched daytime soapies for years. I watched Days of our lives and the young and the sleezy when I did. I remember when my oldest (who is 29) was a baby and my husband (at the time lol) came home and I was just blubbering. He asked me what was wrong and I cried Roman died today. My husband was searching his brain trying to figure out what relative was named Roman before he figured out it was one of my soaps. I decided if i was that addicted it was time to give it up..............and watched it once when my daughter was 5 and the little girl that was born the same day as my daughter on the soaps was 15. They have a faster aging process in those shows. LOL

Now i just watch the nighttime ones...........Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice but i never missed those.

I think the last time I actually watched a soap all the way through was when I was in labor with my youngest son. It was that or some daytime talk show on the tv and I picked the soap to watch to pass the time between contractions. That was 28 years ago

A soap opera is the best sleeping pill of all time & you don't need water to take it.
