Well its getting to be that time of the year..........New Years day is soon to be upon us. Where the heck did all the time go.......doesn't seem possible that my mom has been gone 6 years, Gary gone almost four years............and Its been almost 4 years since I moved back from Ohio. It will be almost 5 years since I started to get ill and the struggle I have had to go through dealing with this illness. Even tho there has been some really sad times in the past few years there has also been some great times. A daughter-n-law followed a year later by the cutest grandson. This morning my son came home from more deployment over and done with and the hope no more will come. For that matter what would make me the happiest is to have all our troops home with no more deployments ever...........I know I am being unrealistic but I can hope.

Now getting back to New Years............we have New Years eve coming up. The time of year we make resolutions (that are usually broke before 2 pm on New Years Day) but we make them in hopes we will keep them.

This year my daughter and I are making the same resolution, we are going to start eating healthier. No sugar, no salt, no preservatives or additives. This will make my doctor happy......who is a firm believer that pain can be lessened in chronic pain patients if they give up all that crap. Of course she also believes that if they would make marijuana legal for pain patients she would write me out a prescription for it. What a doctor LOL

I went this morning and got my hair cut off. Well actually i only had 5 inches of it cut off and its still below my shoulders but I have hopes it will be easier to take care of least it will take less dye to wash that gray right out of my hair............

So do you make resolutions? and if so what are they? Do you normally keep the ones you make?

Happy New Years Everyone...........I hope 2012 brings you everything you ever wanted.

D, I'm so happy your baby boy is back stateside. I know only too well the pain and worry you go through. Mine is headed from Kuwait to Afghanistan as I type this. As for the topic at hand.........this year I think not. I always make them, always break them. This year I will just slide right on through into the new year and keep doing what I've been doing. It seems to be working well for me right now, why fix what isn't broken?

Work when I have to.
Ride the bike when the weather's right.
Talk to my son when he can call.
Wait for new pics of my grand daughter in emails.
Pray a little and talk to God everyday
And love like I've never loved before.

Happy New Year to you and yours! Love ya, Stormy

I usually keep my resolutions because I try not to make ones I know I will break. So I will make the same one I did last year and the year before.

Do the best I can with the situation I find myself in and try not to let things get to me and bring me down.. Remember I am not superwoman and can only do so much and if I am too tired or in too much pain to do something just say no. And if people can't understand then it is their problem and not mine. I do need to work a little harder on the saying no part though. That was the first thing to go about two days after new year's when I kept three hyperactive pits for a week. That taught me a lesson.

Holy crap, I just posted a blog asking what peoples plans were on New Years Eve, and then I start reading your blog thinking you already asked that question.

I read the rest of your blog and realized that you were asking about resolutions instead.

For me, I'm going to try to eat healthier, and to get more toned up. I'm also going to conquer to world in 2012. lol

Hoping the best for you and your family for 2012, Dayna.

Nice to hear your son just got back!

I have only one resolution... to not make any resolutions!!

I don't make resolutions, I never keep them.

My sister and I will be getting together with a friend of ours over at her mother's house and bringing in the New Year. And since I have to work all weekend, I'll be the sober one that night. Oh well.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!
