One guy did not like my honest comment even
though it was not nasty in any way. He also did
not have the balls to post it to my blog. Instead
he emailed me to call me a Fucking Ass Hole.
He did not approve my comment on his blog.
His would have been auto approved for mine.

One might say.. if one has the balls to blog, one should have the balls to do something besides parrot past blogs. If you can't say something original, at least say it with style. If you can't provide a reason beyond "you are a wimp if you don't," perhaps balls is all you have?
There is not an issue with first amendment rights and your "right to respond to in a public forum" because, hey.. it's simply a moderated thread. Much like moderated newsgroups. You're free not to use a moderated medium if it violates your principles.
You have a blog entitled "To the Blog Police." Where's your dedication to freedom of speech there?
People who have issues with comment moderation on blogs have issues with the administration of the site, not the people who use a tool provided to them.

In truth, I don’t care about if my comments are posted, deleted or what not. That is not the right to free speech. Really it is the blog owners blog let him figure out what he wants to allow. If you feel that strongly about an issue and can do it in a constructive way without starting a pissing contest, then write your own blog.
Example someone posts a blog about say, strawberry scooter crunch bars, but you think chocolate is better, write your own, without starting a fight.
Free speech doesn’t mean you can speak anywhere, it also don’t gaurantee listeners…
Just a thought, it’s your blog post whatever, but if you are starting a fight, you know what fuck, don’t start one.

I still believe if youre putting it out there you should let EVERYONE respond. wasnt trying to pick an argument with anyone.....just get a little frustrated when responses never make the blog that you are trying to respond to.....
