Sometime in 2006, during a Bush administration committee, Barney's comment was:
"These two entities—Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—are not facing any kind of financial crisis," said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."
It was all about putting anyone in a house (whether they could afford it or not) as long as the potential buyer could fog a spot on a mirror!
About two years later, the crap hit the fan and the economy started to nose dive and this administration has no control over it either! Which IMO, is how administrations choose to handle problems they lose control over- 'ignore it and it will go away'! Idiots!!
