Yep, I started it. Should have known better. When will I ever learn?
Ok...here it is.....had some left over bread ends..I don't like them and I usually end up throwing them away. Well, I was looking out my window last week, and saw the little sparrows and thought "what the hell, break it up, feed the birds". Good intentions. Right? Well, seems there's this cocky, little bushy tailed critter who also likes the bread. And this morning, while feeding the dogs and the cats, I caught a movement out of the corner of my eye, and here is that little squirrel sitting on the rail of my porch looking in the window at me, waiting for that bread. Pushy little thing! And yes, I did have some bread to break up and put out there. But that was just too cute.
That's it, just a cute little story to share today.

Once, before we were married, my ex and I put up a bird feeder on her balcony. Her place was on the fifth floor of a brick building by the woods, so we got some pretty cool birds visiting. I looked out one day, and there were no birds, but there was this FUCKING SQUIRREL, HANGING ON THE BIRD FEEDER! It was loaded with mostly sunflower seeds, and the motherfucker was stuffing its goddamned cheeks.
What does my ex say? "Oh, what a cute squirrel! I'm gonna name him! How about 'Swinger?' "
I told her I preferred calling him "Target Practice". She didn't like that much.
Later I sneaked up to the door, went flying out and scared the shit outta the squirrel. To my amazement, he jumped off the bird feeder, onto the rail, and hopped INTO THE AIR and glided down FIVE STORIES! And that STILL didn't deter him. He brought his FUCKING FRIENDS!! I'm surprised we didn't find some little squirrel sized beer cans laying around the next day...

Just put some dried pepper in with the bird seed and the squirrels will leave it alone! I does nothing to deter the birds at all! They even sell some of the premix bird seed at Walmart with the pepper in it!

No, I think it's cute. I'm not one who gets worked up over a squirrel wanting bread. Besides, he/she, leaves enough for the sparrows.
Besides...if I were to do that....theSkwirl might find out and it hurts when she nips ankles.

Be aware; That if the squirrel 's hanging around attract mise and rats. They seem to go together for some reason.

They make all kinds of sounds/calls.... While in camo deer hunting...I have had them run up to my gun Barrel....and about the time they are about to Pounce on it...they will let a lil scream... its too funny..(if you were there! ) But yanno.....Damn they Taste good!!! Their Gravy is second to only the Rabbit!!!!!!!!!! Now...I'm making myself Verrrrry Hungry!!! Cute Blog!! Greenie!

There was ahow on Animal Planet or some such thing in the UK about that. It was kind of interesting how they figure out how to accomplish it.

A friend visited the US for the first time from New Zealand. One of the high points of her visit was seeing a squirrel. Tickled my funny bone.
