Yeah yeah, I used to watch Mr. Rogers when I was a kid. Mostly for the puppet show part of it.

Anyway, sunny day today. I want to try my hand at stringing lights on my porch for the holidays this year. Wondering if today would be a good day for that. Nah. It's only 32 degrees right now, think I'll stay inside where it's nice and warm. I admit it, I'm such a wimp anymore about the cold. Oh wait, I think I've admitted to that a few times already. But it is nice looking outside with the sun shining, and I can tell it's windy because I'll see the trees limbs moving, and the trees that still have leaves on them, the leaves will fly off and it looks like it's raining leaves. (just not ready to say the "other" word yet )

Just taking a little break from doing homework assignments. Still cannot believe this semester is almost over. It's been a fun one to say the least. I like having instructors that are animated, who enjoy the subject they are teaching. I don't know about anyone else here, but, whenever I've had an instructor who is a monotone, I find myself actually starting to doze off. My instructor for my Principles of Substantive Law class, OMG, he is a riot!! He's a one man comedy show up there. Oh yeah, he's also a criminal defense attorney. I have already registered for my winter semester classes, and this same instructor will be teaching two of the classes..so next semester will be fun again. May need some tape for the sore ribs from laughing so much. But I've noticed, it's those instructors like that, animated, who keep ones attention, that I've gotten the A's in. My document processing instructor, while she's not as comical as the law instructor, I can see she loves what she does, she injects a little humor, but for the most part, she really enjoys teaching. Getting an A in her class. Had a Lifelong Wellness class this semester, but it was a shorter class, only 7 weeks, so it's been done now for a few weeks, but OMG, the instructor for that class, he was a riot!!!! He would have the class just . And for it being a boring topic, I got an A in that one for my final grade. Yep, hard work, attending every class, pays off.

Speaking of "hard work". Next week will kick off what I call the "holiday rush" at work. Business will be picking up, and we will be getting more hours at work. That will be nice. (someone PLEASE remind me of that statement if I ever bitch about wanting time off between now and the New Year! ) I know I'll be exhausted by the time it's over, but, at least the paychecks will look good again. I "worked" yesterday. Actually, I was part of the crew decorating the hotel for the holiday season. And we got a lot accomplished yesterday! We got 7 average sized trees decorated, plus the huge tree, I'm not too sure on the height, so I'm going to guess that it's a 20 foot tree. Like I said, it's huge. It's in the Lobby. We got the garland and wreaths hung up and decorated, and then went around hanging little things like snowflakes or ornaments in various areas. It looks really festive there. There was an elderly couple there who just loved it all, so much so they actually went up to the front desk to request another nights stay. I overheard the wife commenting about how impressed she was at the playfulness of the staff. Yeah, she had overheard us clowning around and laughing. She said she had stayed at other hotels where it seemed the staff was nice because they had to be, that there didn't seem to be any of the lightheartedness and friendly atmosphere she had been experiencing at our hotel.

I've always said one needs a good sense of humor when working in a customer service job because that humor will sometimes help to alleviate an ugly situation. Doesn't always work, I mean, if someone is mad, they're mad. But, for the most part, it helps. Also, genuinely being concerned about why a guest is upset helps too instead of acting like they are just a pain in the ass. (Although I admit, there are those who bitch just to bitch, and it takes an effort to stay nice ) But yes, that is a small look into customer service.

Well, I guess it's back to the books here.......soon.

Yeah, I remember that. Lady Aberlin was HAWT, and I bet that creepy postman
Mr. McFeely was birddogging that BIG TIME! Lady Elaine was a skag, however...if
it's possible for a puppet to be sexually gross. (Perfect for Robert the troll, though...)

To be truthful I think everybody did but probably will not admit it. No matter how corny the show was they sure repeat the famous line " wont you be my neighbor " . Hell I've seen it used on here in a flirtatious manner by a few people.

The other day I was asked to watch a grocery cart full of flowers so the florist could find a customer she lost track of. Well about that time a lady cashier was just coming into the store who I like to make laugh so I started fanning my hand above the flowers & she asked what I was doing. I said keeping bees off the flowers then suddenly I hear a pissed off man asking if those were his flowers & he had been waiting outside too long & he threatened all kinds of shit like I'll never shop here again & I want to talk to the manager. Well the good thing is that I didn't have to explain to him what I was doing with his flowers but he was more pissed because a pouring down rain came down when he loaded the last of them. Needless to say he gave the management an ear full.

I think I watched maybe a week of his shows, then quit because I was bored to tears watching it! Low, slow voice- looked like the same sweater, the entire program was slow!

I certainly remember Mr. Rogers, the puppet segment (wasn't there like a monorail and a medieval castle theme?) and for some reason Mr. Green Jeans. Mr. Rogers reminds me of Captain Kangaroo, and suddenly I have the Statler Brother's rendition of Flowers on the Wall careening around in my head.

"Smokin' cigarettes and watchin' Captain Kangaroo,
Now, don't tell me I've nothin' to do!"

It's a little before my time, but I'm fond of that song.

Oh geez. They're letting the unwashed in here to panhandle and bathe in the
restroom. How's a poor salesman supposed to get anything done!!

As I know his address, and have a pic of his slum subsidized apartment building,
I think it's time to take some action on this ashole

And to think he was Sandusky's first

Sorry everyone, just wanted to say that and get it out of my system.

Now back to ENJOYING the site folks.
