While getting ready for a wedding in seven weeks of the son of my best friend, the phrase "For Everything There is a Season" came to mind. The verse from the Bible (Eccl. 3:1) is used for funerals, weddings, any celebration where change or transition is taking place. Pete Seeger's song "Turn, Turn, Turn" covered by, and made famous by the Byrds brought the idea into popular culture as well as religious life.
So I thought, "why not sex life"? As seasons change our habits and our activities change, especially here in cold country. For example, as winter approaches here in the northeast, I listen to fewer and fewer outdoor concerts, and must move into the bars, coffee houses and clubs to hear live music. I run less outdoors and play basketball indoors and snowshoe once the snow arrives. I eat more comfort food, as in chilis and soups and pastas.
So the question I ask is, "How does the change in seasons effect your sex life?" Personally, since I'm dating more, I'm thinking about an electric fireplace. Practical on cold winter nights and an attractive tool when trying to be romantic. I'm also looking for music venues to take dates that have food...indoors. Combining entertainment with dinner...a two-fer.
How about you? Does your sex life change with the seasons? Does the extra blanket on the bed present an obstacle, or an opportunity?
Because it's true, you know...For Everything there is a Season!

You can run in any type of weather as long as you dress appropriately, and nothing is better then a roll or two in front of a fireplace in the winter after a little skiing. It's apres screwing. Just keep yelling turn, turn, turn over....lol.

There's a little more time in the winter to make love...summer is so hectic around here.
I have an electric fireplace and I just love it. It looks so real and I never get tired of watching it. It's worth the investment for sure!

Yes, I have been 'assimilated" by computers, cell phones, digital cameras, software, etc., but there are a few things I can't get past and one is an electric fireplace. I still prefer building a real fire in a fireplace... enjoy the aroma as well as watching it burn, but I do understand its convenience. I'm sure it saves money not having to purchase a cord of wood or have to cut it yourself plus storing, hauling and cleaning the mess.
As the weather cools my sexual temperature rises... there's something about making love in winter that warms more than the cockles of my heart, but great sex in any season is a marvelous thing. As for food, it's the same... as the temps fall I use more chilies than ever. I like it more than spicy... I like it HOT!
