Well, got some good neews and some not so good news, but at least it isn't all bad. The weather here has been darned nice the past few days. Had a BIG storm over the weekend, but Monday it was decent, and that is when the good things started falling into place.
Got the pick up moved from where it was sitting to a spot that it could be worked on. I located a rear end that would fit about 70 or so miles from here for a decent price. Later that day the friend that has helped me in all this and I got the rear end about ready to come out, Tuesday it was out and we got the replacement, got it put in place and bolted in. Wednesday we got most of the rest of the hook up done, put newbrake shoes and wheel cylinders in, and a few of the odd things finished. Started bleeding the brakes late Wednesday, after my bud had gone home. Wasn't having much luck with it, so by passed my meds again for the stop smoking and went to bed late. More on those in a sec here.
This morning, I finally got the brakes adjusted, and bled, got everything working and took it for a quick run. Just a few miles and I think it is done. So now I have my old, probably not worth keeping but paid for s-10 back on the road. I can park that 1 ton I borrowed, and drive it a little on rare occasions just to keep it healthy.
A couple of things in the not so good news area now. Not going to get any more money from my brother for anything. Oh well, I knew it was going to happen, so no big surprise. Guess I’ll have to see about a quit claim deed from him and maybe I can get this place refinanced.
Now the pills I got to help kill the nicotine urges, well, they do a number on my mental processes. Bupropion is the generic name for this stuff, but it is better known as Wellbutrin. Read up on it, it does block the nicotine receptors but damn, the side effects.
So, life continues, not the smooth hiway we all want to stay on, but this side road is at least not as bumpy this week. Hope everyone has it at least as good or better than I have this week. And hope everyone has a friend as good Glen has been thru all this mess with my pick up. That man deserves all the kudos I can lay on him, and more money for all he has done than I would ever be able to pay him.

Bupropion is the generic name for this stuff, but it is better known as Wellbutrin. Read up on it, it does block the nicotine receptors but damn, the side effects. I tried that stuff once years ago, it is an anti-depressant with the the added unintentional benefit of being effective at smoking cessation and marketed as Zyban. Most insurance companies won't pay for a smoking cessation drug, but will pay for it if your doctor prescribes it for its other uses.
That shit left a nasty taste in my mouth 24/7, nothing tasted good. Fuck that shit If I can't enjoy a meal, it is not worth it

Glad you got your truck on the road again..that little S 10 will be easier on gas than that one ton. Aren't good friends nice to have?
As for your brother, yeah, sounds like a quitclaim deed would be your best idea.
Weather around here today was blah. Started off nice, ended cool and raining. Oh well, that time of the year.
Hang in there with the quitting smoking..it's hard as hell, but the benefits are well worth it.

I am glad somethings are working out for you. Giving up is a terrible option. Best Wishes!
