Why do people cheat? posted 8/9/2011 2:54:22 PM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   sweetemotion I have found out recently that everyone cheats. why do people cheat on their spouses? Could it be just their nature or maybe they don't have a conscience, maybe they are just selfish. If anyone could give their thoughts on this I would appreciate it. Thanks. 	Actually, I've never cheated on anyone I was in a relationship with. But, I've been cheated on..and it sucks. I think some of why people cheat is they are not satisfied in their current relationships, and are looking for excitement. Who knows why a person would cheat.

	There's a million reasons and when you think you've heard them all there will be a million...and one. It's an individual thing...reasons that at the time makes perfect sense to them and it will justify in their mind what they're doing. Cheating is never the answer to any problem but usually at the time it seems to be. Cheating always has been and always will be because most people want to run from the problems instead of facing them square on and dealing with them. JMHO Softie

	I had never cheated in a relationship. There are some of us still alive! This have been a problem for me too. She would not talk,or anything about it. She act as if it was the norm and moved on. No feelings and didn't care...just walk out. Later found out, the next guy got cheated by her with more then one! What made it so wrong was, in the beginning of our relationship, we had talked about what each wanted and she said "Yes, that's for me." None of it was true. I think it's all you said...their nature,no conscience and selfish. Oh and no respect for themselves. I personally don't mind a one night stand, short-term or long-term relationships...JUST BE UP FRONT ABOUT IT. It's better for both of us. We know where each stands and if the relationship changes talk about it.

	There are several reasons people cheat. If someone has been with someone for a long time there is a chance they are no longer the same two people who entered the relationship and no longer have common interests. They won't leave that relationship because of children or the fact the person would end up losing half of everything they worked for in a divorce. In their mind it makes perfect sense to cheat because to them it is the lesser of two evils. The other reasons? Some people are just scum and act like it or fall in and out of lust very easily.

	I don't cheat....but many do! Although when I Separated from my wife of 24 years...she called me a cheater....when she found out I was seeing someone else...Months later! WTF? Is that cheating? There are some ppl that...will cheat in a heartbeat! Why they do that...who knows!!!! I have learned... Once a cheater...always a cheater!!!.... and thats all I have to say about that!!!!!
