	I certainly cannot provide a link to validate this as it happened quite a while ago, but I did read it on CNN, USA Today, or something quite a few years ago. Many states require that people in a neighborhood be notified when a convicted, registered sex offender moves into their area. In California a guy filed a complaint with the state about not being notified about a sex offender coming into his neighborhood... a catholic church was being built. This came in the aftermath of a lot of sex scandals involving the church.
