Taters are dropping ( thunder ) & it's finally pouring down rain here in my neck of the woods. It rained only a couple of hours about 2 1/2 weeks ago after a long dry spell but we need more & I hope this rain spell will be longer than the last. This is not a weather broadcast I'm just happy as all get out to hear thunder & see a good rain for a change. It's a relief & hoping to feel that cool crisp air like in deer hunting season again. Lately in the past a rain has been like on spit on the asphalt & it stops then fries like an egg & vanishes. I've noticed even the grackles have been flying & walking with their mouths wide open. It's just too fucking hot man !!!!! Has it rained in your area or you don't care because you have an air conditioned job indoors ? Now that I've mentioned grackles they make annoying sounds but are beneficial to your vehicle. They pick all the dead bugs off of it & shit on it as well. One day I saw one of these birds constantly flying up & doing the bump with a vehicles grill which is a sweet spot for dead bugs. Having a people watching job allows you to watch other forms of life as well, & rather boring. That's all I got. Have a good day folks.

Rain? I saw some once as I recall. As for grackles, we have more them than possibly all other birds combined. They eat anything. As a point of trivia they are originally from Mexico and were not in the US until around 1900.

Well I hope you get more rain down your way.

We had some rain up here yesterday, and it did drop the humidity somewhat. I just opened up my windows here because, even though it's 86 degrees, the humidity has dropped and it's just right. And we have a good breeze here too. But, we do need more rain up here...lawns are starting to look "thirsty" around here.

Hope it gets more comfortable for everyone else soon.

Probably the reason you have everglades & we have dry cracks in the ground. Well shit have everybody who owns an air boat in Florida turn the ass end this way & blow us some rain here in Texas.

Supposed to reach 103 here today and the humidity did not drop at all. Sure wish it would rain and cool it off a bit.
