Since the blog I was going to post an answer to does not allow comments..I'll post my answer here.

How do I handle a no show? Simple...don't give the person another thought. They're obvious lack of respect means to me that they are not worth another thought.

Simple as that.

I agree that the best way to treat a no show is to move on without wasting any more time of your valuable time.

Unfortunately, this scenario occurs all too often. The usual reasons cover the gamut from being married, players and imposters. Occasionally there may be extenuating circumstances and if so, it becomes readily apparent and things can be sorted out.

This happens whether you are looking for a sexual encounter or a regular date. Don't let it get you down and keep truckin'!

Same here, but ironically, the blog is on the vanilla site and does allow comments, so I posted one. I also wrote to the poster on the vanilla site asking what the deal was on AMD... read but no reply. Maybe that explains the no show

Yes, and the other party will explain quickly. Even then, most people have cell phones so there is no excuse for not calling. I would't ask otherwise because "I forgot" indicates a flake and is a deal breaker.

Anyway, here is my comment from the vanilla site post:

I have never had it happen.

There are few scenarios I have heard about that play in. One that I doubt plays in here is that the other person got cold feet, usually due to a red flag. It is women that do this one. There is something that they suspect like the guy being married, an alcoholic, an abuser or something.

The second is that the person is married and can't get away, got busted or something.

But the most common one is that they knew enough about you such as the car you were driving and what you were wearing. They lurked near the meeting site, didn't like what they saw and blew the whole thing off. I have known both genders to do this one.

A friend of mine did that once. I asked him how his meet up went and he said she was ten years older and fifty pounds heavier than her picture, so he just pretended he was somebody else. Why a person would lie about something people can see with their own two eyes is beyond me

I have never had it happen either. If it did I would just think I had dodged the bullet so to speak because it is a sign of an unreliable person and I don't have time or patience for that kind.

Well if she was talking on the phone with him she knows his number so all she has to do is leave a message saying asta la vista & be done with it providing he is still crawfishing on the phone.
