Before tackling the rest of my homework assignments. Weather has been lovely up here. Windows open, listening to the birds singing (had to squish a bee that got in..don't like those things. ), and the dogs are loving it too. Although, a couple of them are still shedding like crazy. I'll be so happy when the shedding is done. My poor vacuum cleaner, if it was alive, I think it would run and hide.

Talked with my supervisor at work about me having the week of the 4th of July off for my vacation time and she said I got it. Since this is the first time I've asked for vacation time off since working there, it was "a no brainer" to let me have the time off. Apparently 6 others have asked for it off also, and they are ones who are always asking for holidays off..so for them it's a "first come first serve" basis. Meaning, if she can give them the time off, it goes to who requested 1st, 2nd, 3rd...and so on. With schools letting out for the summer, things are starting to pick up at work. Starting to get more days in now. Been busy, busy, busy lately. Only 4 weeks left of the semester then I'm off till Fall semester starts.

We've finally had a break with the rain up here. Made the grass grow like crazy, but we've had a few dry days, and wow! The ferns I have growing in my backyard and in my front yard are so big and lush looking! And the peonies are getting ready to bloom soon, and they are really bushy this year. And the weeds...OMG!! They are fierce this year! Real "fun" keeping up with them! Haven't really been able to hit any garage sales yet. No time, and when I do have the time, I don't have the money. Go figure.

My nephew has to have back surgery this week. He has a curvature of his spine I guess. I don't know the exact details..but he's having surgery this week to correct it. His birthday was yesterday, he's 15 now. Damn! Where did the time go??? Seems like it wasn't that long ago he was a little daredevil in diapers scaring the daylights out of my sister, his mother. He's a good kid though, can be a sarcastic little bugger, gets that from his mother.
