I'll get to that last part eventually...

Well, weather...been kind of a wild spring in the country. My heart goes out to all who have lost everything in the recent string of tornadoes that have been hitting lately. Seems every day when I turn on the news, there is more tornadoes, more loss...it's sad. Any of you see the story about the dog with both front legs broke that crawled it's way back home? That is one dedicated pooch. My heart broke over little Skylar's body being found..I was so hoping that baby would be found alive. It's always sad when a little one's life is taken away..it's just not fair. Up here, spring has been "confused". We get a week or so of warm temps, then it gets cool...and then it warms up again, only to get cool again. Weatherperson here says it looks like we might be done with that roller coaster ride. We'll see.

Work, eh. It's been slow, but, then again, it's an establishment aimed at families with kids...and, kids are in school right now. We've had little sprints here and there where we got full weeks in, but, for the most part, yeah, it's our slow season. I hate unemployment, it's a pain in the ass. I'd rather just work. Oh well...give it a couple of more weeks, then I'll be crying for time off. Well, actually, I've got some vacation time this year, and I'm taking the week of the 4th of July off. Every year since working where I'm at, I've had to work every 4th of July. Well, this year I'm putting in to have it off. I want to enjoy the fireworks this year without having to rush home so I won't be too tired at work the following day. I've talked with my supervisor about working in a couple of the departments this summer so as to get 40 hours every week, and she says that will be no problem.

School has been going pretty good. Been keeping up the good work getting A's on assignments. I'll tell ya...cramming 15 weeks worth of material in 7 weeks is quite a job! But, I'm doing it. Getting assignments done and turned in on time. Been doing good on tests/quizzes..so yes, school has been going smooth.

Now...to the "blinders" in the title. (Told ya I'd get to it eventually ) On the other site, there is a member who is forever always blogging about how he hates Obama and how Obama does nothing right, etc. This particular blogger has what I call "blinders" on. In other words, refuses to see the corruption, lies, and stupidity abounds in both parties. Nope, only liberals are "bad" according to this person. And this person does not like to be challenged or shown that both sides are as corrupt as the day is long. And really doesn't like it when a legitimate argument has been made that he can't counter. Can always tell when that happens because then the name calling starts. Ever notice when someone cannot come back with a factual argument they resort to name calling? I don't mind discussing politics, I like the exchange of views. Learning what others think. What I don't like is the narrow views to where one is always right and everyone else is wrong. I get it, some are set in their ways, it's what they believe, and I have no problem with that. In my opinion, neither party is "superior" to the other...both are full of corruption. Neither is more corrupt than the other. Whatever. One thing I've noticed, is over here, blogs about politics have been posted, and the discussion is civil. Over on the vanilla site..watch out! Put on a suit of armor!! And for some real fun....wander into the forums...damn! They can get some good arguments going over there! We're all laid back over here...and I like that just fine!

Well....hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day weekend. Remember those who have served our country, and those who currently are.

good going sugar, hope the pace doesn't wear ya down to the nub.

as for the political and religious blogs, i don't even read them. in my opinion, every politician should be taken out and shot for treason. then start over with a whole new bunch, and do the same thing if they screw up. and since i'm not religious, i just wish these types would do something besides read stories stolen from other cultures and try to feed that to us. as it is, most people have no clue to where the bible came from, other than what they have been told. and how many people realize much of the koran is taken directly from the old testament?

see what i mean? religion and politics have caused more grief and arguments than they have ever solved.

I did not know that.

And thanks. So far, not feeling worn down from the pace I've been going with my classes. I knew before signing up for them that it would be like this.

Yep..Recently went through all that on a religious blog there
Got called all kinda names because I didn't agree with him
Doesn't sound like much of a Christian to me
Tickles the shit out of me to be agnostic if that's what a Xtian does.

Weatherperson here says it looks like we might be done with that roller coaster ride.

I think that is the case here. Now it is merely a matter enduring four months of what some here call the blast furnace.

I'm taking the week of the 4th of July off.

You deserve it. Hopefully you can get out of town and take in a change of scenery

I normally take off this weekend for one of my two five day vacations to the coast. But this year I didn't as I had work to do and it is just not in the budget with price of fuel.

The first week of July my daughter is coming down here from Missouri. I have mixed feelings about it because her marriage is on the rocks. All she does when she calls me is bitch about here husband, yet nothing is being done. I have been listening to this for months including calls at one or five in the morning. I got a bit testy with her today when she babbled and rambled nonstop about him for around five minutes. I more or less said:
Fix it or fuck it
Shit or get off the pot
When all is said and done, much is said and not a damned thing is being done
People are sick of hearing about it

Been keeping up the good work getting A's on assignments.

Let's just hope that once you graduate that it leads to a decent job where you use your brain and not your body.

One? I can think of a dozen at least, plus there are the religious kooks over there. I like to needle them once in a while. We do have some dogmatic political zealots here also but like you said, they tend to be civil.

People complain about politicians, but you know what, they got elected. One of my favorite quotes is from Winston Churchill: "The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter."

Well....hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day weekend. Remember those who have served our country, and those who currently are.

Yes, indeed I've got my flag out.

I see more than enough bloggers here doing this with their hatred towards Bush and Republicans.

More than enough liberals over here to where a few are kooks as well.....

On another note, the weather here was sunny with the high between 90-95. More of the same the next two days.
