Yes, even in today's tough economy, there are still good samaritans out there willing to help the less fortunate without expecting any payment. Our local news ran a story this week about a family who hired a contractor to repair their roof, and the contractor came out, did a "shoddy" job, failed to cover the roof with a tarp, then, took off and never came back. We had some good rains over the last few days, and this poor family, well they had to deal with leaks and all. It looked hopeless for them. A couple of people who do roofing for a living saw their story, and are now in the process of repairing their roof....for free!
Good Samaritans
With all the bad going on out there in the world, it is great to see something like this. And from what this guy is saying, this job would have cost $30,000. And he and a couple of others are doing this for free.

What a wonderful thing for them to do.
Although we all have to make money to support ourselves and families, there are payments much greater than money. Knowing that you helped a family like this would be a wonderful reward/payment.
I believe good samatitans exist, just so many get over looked for their kindness.
The bad in the world seems to prevail.

yeah!! I love hearing the good stories and don't even turn on the news so I won't hear the bad. Thanks for sharing. Spread the joy and the love to all you come in contact with...even if it is just holding a door or saying excuse me in a crowded situation...it will become contagious if you do it with a smile.
