I know..it's been blogged about before, but, gas prices just jumped again. It's $4.29 a gallon for regular unleaded here. Someone from Gas Buddy said it's due to some refinery problems in Chicago. Blame refinery When it shot up to over $4 a gallon, it was blamed on refinery problems in Indiana.
Ya know...the horse and buggy idea is starting to look more and more appealing. But, then again, so is a bike. Now that I think of it, the bike is the cleaner option...cause I've already got 5 mini horses I have to clean up after already. Well, at least now we're coming out of the winter heating season, so now my utility bills are getting lower. Isn't going to be long before I can get my screen door put in..just got to hope the dogs don't bust it out on me. They are somewhat more mellow now...until they see a squirrel out in the back yard.
Never thought to see the day where it would cost me almost $8 to fill up the little 1 1/2 gallon gas can I have for my lawn mower. I don't care what the so called "experts" are saying...someone is being greedy and profiting big time off of this.
Oh well...at least with the nicer weather, there are all kinds of yard sales popping up all over the place. And I've got a few days off this week...maybe I'll go check some out. I'd like a new coffee table for my living room. I'd love a glass top one, but, not with the dogs...they'd have their nose prints all over it. I would like to look into some pans too..the ones I've got were Mick's mothers, and they are not in so great shape right now. And, who knows, maybe cruising through some of these yard sales, I'll find me a bike! I really miss bike rides..I used to be out all day on my bike when I was younger. Would be nice to just hop on a bike and take a ride again. I just might try to find me a bike for this summer. The refuge that I'm always talking about is great for bike riding.
Oh yeah, and I've decided Michigan has some of the dumbest drivers. When it's cold, and the roads are covered with snow and ice, they want to speed. When it warms up, and the roads are dry..the dummies slow down. Ok, not all. It just seems this past weekend I ran into drivers who don't know where their gas pedals are. And another thing of frustration....road construction! For the 3rd summer in a row, part of my route I take to work and heading home is shut down till November..which means detours again. That is bad enough, but now, there is another location, just minutes away from work that will be closed down till November, which means ANOTHER detour!!!!! And this one takes me through town, which is slower driving, which means I will have to leave for work earlier. I'm going to be so happy when this is all done.
Well, that's my rambling for tonight.
