Virtually everyone who isn't independently wealthy has a boss. A CEO answers to the board, and an entrepreneur answers to his customers and his creditors. That being the case, one of the more useful skills in life is learning how to deal with a bad boss.
You rarely win by fighting with them. My experience has been that if you keep your head down and do your job well, more often than not you can outlast the bad boss. If you can't, look for another job.
Going to your boss's boss rarely works. They just mark you as a whiner. Sooner or later, they will figure out what's going on.
And educated people wonder why menial laborers fail to improve their lot in life.
Is there a fly buzzing around in here?
