How many people watched American Idol last night? When it first came on it started off rehashing last years show, and then moved on to the winners over the years. Finally after the boring first 5 minutes of it the show got to the first singer to audition in front of the judges. Still the show fooled around in the first 30 minutes and only showed four singers in that span. I remember previous years where the show got on with people trying out for the show right from the start and having at least 12 in the first 30 minutes instead of four like last night. I hope tonight's a better show.

Okay, maybe four was a low number and to be honest that's what I remembered last night while I was bored after that first 5 minutes of it, but watching it again right now on tape, and I think it's more like 6 or 8 singers in that 30 minute span. Still not nearly enough. lol

oooh 8 minutes to go, yes I am an Idol fan, I have watched it from the beginning, however I do think something screwed up last year and Chris Daughtry got the shaft.

Nope, can't stand the stuff. I know lots of people that like to watch including my mother. It's just another silly reality show to me.

And I agree with Belle.....I think some of it if even set up. I do think they have cue cards and tell people to lash out like the way they do.......some of those people just aren't right!!

....naw, I'm no Idol fan. Can't get past the first 5 minutes. I used to watch talent shows when they really were talent shows - this incarnation just turns my stomach. I mean c'mon, half of those wannabes would have been screened off of there before they even got to tape. If all you want is to hear Simon's ascerbic whit then have at it.

Last season was the first season I ever watched and I have to say I became hooked. I couldnt miss an episode. I am sure it had something to do with the people who were in the season such an amazing amount of talent. Taylor won my heart forever with his weird and wacky style. Chris was amazing and it was sad to see him voted out. Catherine was just stunning to look at and to listen too. Elliot wow what a voice. I hope this year is as exciting and enjoyable. I never really enjoy it until they get down to the last 12 or so as there are just too many too keep track of. Btw Taylor's cd was a disappointment it didnt work for me. I guess half his charm is watching him listening alone didnt do it for me.
