Over the past number of weeks I have seen where Donald Trump is entertaining the idea of running for president in 2012.

I have heard a lot of people make fun of the thought of him running, and heard even less from people who actually thought that he would make a great president.

As for me, I think he should probably stick to business and television, and stay out of politics.

So, Pervia, does he stand a chance? What kind of president do you think he'll make?

What the Rev said.... Remember Trump has run several businesses into the ground, has been bankrupt several times and only his celebraty has afforded him the lifestyle he has.. He would be HORRIBLE for the country hell he may be one of the reasons we have such a shitty economy now.. It is all about taking for oneself not shairing the wealth like it once was...

Well... we've already had an actor as president, why not an negotiator for foreign and domestic problems? Certainly this administration could use one, as could have the previous administrations!

True. I do know Trump would be better than Obama.

Yeah the DOW dropped about a 100 points (AGAIN)- I knew something was going on when that happened! Different fault zone though, from what I understand!

Trump does not have the temperment to be president for one and if he ran the country the way he ran his businesses we would be in deep shit by his second year in office. I llived in New York and still have friends up there. He is a local joke.

Sadly, no one running is anyone I would want to be president of the united states.

Not only running, but we've been pretty much up shit creek without a paddle since G.W. Bush moved out. The current 'fibber in chief' could not lead army ants with a grapefruit.
Trump would be a HUGE improvement over the clown that goes around and apologizes for everything Bush did, all the way back to the Bubonic plague.
Perhaps Trump would not lick the balls of the Chinese???

As for treason, what's the deal with helping AlQueda by bombing Gadaffi??
Yes, Moamar is an Enemy of the United States, but so Bin Laden.
That's still 'aiding and abating the enemy'.

Trump has only one talent - self promotion. It's been fantastic for him and far be it from me to knock it. But it wouldn't make him a good President.

He inherited a boatload of money - hey, good for him. But his record on business ventures isn't particularly good. His companies have filed under Chapter 11 three times. In layman's terms, he asked a court to help his company get out of paying all the money it borrowed. Sucks to be The Donald's creditor, doesn't it?

He stays wealthy because he keeps his personal fortune separate from his business ventures, meaning that it's his investors and creditors that get hurt by the fact that he screwed up his company.

Add to that his vanity, volatile temper, bad marriages and that ridiculous cotton candy on top of his head, and you have to ask - why would anyone think he should be President?

I personally don't think he'll run, but if he does, watch out. He's the only candidate openly playing the birther conspiracy card (although I don't think he believes a bit of it). In places like Iowa and SC where the Republican primary voters are particularly far to the right, they'll eat that up. Add to that his celebrity, name recognition, and the myth that he's good at running things, and he might win there. That would give him enough momentum to stay in the race and wreak havoc on the Republican nomination process.

It would be fascinating to watch that scenario play out. It would be spectacular political theater. But he'll never be President. This is about keeping The Donald in the spotlight.

I'd say Romney has a better chance than Trump. Not many voters will take Trump serious.

Oh yes, pretty much. We can't afford another 4 years of going down this road that Obama has led this country down.

I don't really check the stock market everyday but it seems that when I do see it on TV, it's always going up

Unemployment is going down

The cost of living isn't rising

I reckon ol' Obama is doing better'n Dubya did in his first three years..

Two wars..Both for the wrong reasons

Started the largest deficency in the history of the USA

Outsourcing jobs overseas

If I felt ambitious, I could list several dozen discrepancies in y'all's thinking
but I reckon I'll just leave you to your misguided delusions

I think....that means 'it's my opinion'...... Trump could never put up with the bureaucracy. Actually that is the wrong term because bureaucracy is usually meant to describe the nonelected officials of a large entity or organization that help to sustain it. What Trump couldn't deal with is the elected hierarchy, the pompous postering and bullshit that he would have to endure. This is a man who tells people what to do, doesn't ask, doesn't want any rebuttals, and doesn't take criticism lightly. Hell Trump is a posturing peacock himself but at least he admits it. He wouldn't kiss ass like Obama has done internationally, but democracy in The Donald's world begins and ends with his edicts and he knows his world and ours are decidedly polarized.
Personally I'd love to see him take his shot if for no other reason than to see him deal with China. And wouldn't it be music to the ears to hear him say to Reid and Pelosi...."You're Fired". (I know, I know, he couldn't do it, but then neither could the liberals that will be the first to cry foul when China calls in our debt).

The stock market is floating paper, actually has nothing to do with the economy....it's non reflective. It's relevance is only public perception. Ask any Economist of note.

Unemployment is going down

Currently for this month at 8.8% I believe....again, it's non reflective of our current economy, just a barometer of trends. It has moved as Obama has moved toward more moderacy.

The cost of living isn't rising

Not even worth a response.

I reckon ol' Obama is doing better'n Dubya did in his first three years..

Then why has Obama reversed himself mirroring George Bush's policies? Case closed. Should I list all Obama's reversals.

Two wars..Both for the wrong reasons.
Just plain naive liberal drivel.

Started the largest deficency in the history of the USA

Do you mean deficit? Don't even go there at this point, you'll just be digging a deeper hole.

Extremely uniformed and naive commentary.

I think he is out strictly for personal gaines
No he shouldn't run and probably won't considering it may cost him money to do so and unless he gets free money he won't spend his own or risk his own.

It's kind of sweet the way you've made up with Straddle, Cockfail. I always suspected you had a little man-crush on him. I'm afraid he doesn't have the same feelings for you, though.

Donald Trump would make a great president. He has gone bankrupt more than once and with more than one business. He has also left many of his stock holders high and dry. Just like a U.S. president would.

Gee look at all of the comments and apparent cockfail incarnations. Damn, I forgot it was Friday already.

Yeah after Dubya shit in the creek for eight years and stole the paddle. I seem to recall a budget surplus when Dubya took office...hmm...I wonder what happened to that? It must have been those damned liberals who were responsible for the deficit eight years later!

If it helps ya WoW, I did not vote for either Bush. Probably would not vote for either now.
I DO know that demonizing him, and ignoring Peloisi is a disgrace. The lengths that the left has gone through to lie about him, makes him a better man, in my eyes. The Pedestal that Obama is put on, only makes him shorter.
