	Cool past A couple of related notes: Forty years ago in Cali if you needed a cop, call Winchells (Whapper may be the only one on who understands and gets the joke that had grain of truth to it). Locally; I am getting so old that I recall going into a donut shop and seeing a policeman in the lobby instead of Asians behind the counter.

	I can remember seeing cop cars in front of a couple of now closed doughnut shops around where I grew up. Now, we have Tim Horton's, and yep, I see one or two of the city cop cars in their parking lot.
