Why do some places seem so small. My silly rant of the day after getting a ride to Rite Aid with Rob's cousin since he just got a new car and has been looking for excuses to drive and I figure hey let him waste all the gas he wants to.  According to Wiki I live in a mid sized metro  yeah right.
The Tri-Cities is a mid-sized metropolitan area in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Washington, consisting of three neighboring cities: Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland. The cities are located at the confluence of the Yakima, Snake, and Columbia rivers in the semi-arid region of Southeastern Washington. A fourth neighboring city, West Richland, is generally included as part of the Tri-City area and region. Each city either borders another or one of the area's rivers, making the Tri-Cities seem as one uninterrupted mid-sized community.
As of April 1, 2010, the Washington State Office of Financial Management Forecasting Division, estimated the population of the bi-county metropolitan area at 248,400. The population of the metropolitan area was 235,841 at the 2008 Census estimates.[1] If the Tri-Cities were a single city, it would be the fourth largest city in the state of Washington, behind Seattle, Spokane, and Tacoma. So why is it that when I go to the pharmacy to pick up my meds I wait for Rob's ex girlfriend to get them for me  and not even a recent ex. She is his high school girl. 
Least Rob's cousin got a good laugh and now has a better understanding of what I really mean when I say he is young (24) and should get out more cause the faces around here never change.

I don't know how the layout is out your way, but here, Michigan is divided into counties, and within each county is different cities/townships. For example, within Saginaw County there is:
City of Saginaw
Saginaw Township-where I live now
Bridgeport Township-where I grew up
Buena Vista Township
Frankenmuth Township
Birch Run Township
Marion Springs
Brant
James Township
Thomas Township
Swan Valley
I know there is more...anyway...I can go to any store in Bridgeport and run across people I went to school with...and I can go to the local Rite Aid just up the road from here...and not recognize a soul. And around here, Bay City, Midland and Saginaw are referred to as the "Tri Counties" or Mid Michigan. I don't get why Mid Michigan because if one looks on the map of Michigan....we're not in the middle of the state.

Memphis is fairly large, but it is a small town that accidentally got big. you can't go anywhere without running into someone you know. ya definately can't have an affair here...although some do. I wait on him and his girlfriends and then see his wife the next day or so in the hotel for a seminar...hi!

That is one reason i don't like going back to Wake Forest for family events. I moved to New York to get away from these people and to get a life.Nothing like running into someone you did not like 40 years ago who wants to talk your ear off.
