I am finally getting my butt in gear here and starting to go through stuff. Getting rid of garbage. Giving away things that I know I can't possibly sell. Listing a few things on Craigslist that might possibly sell. Trying to pare down to the essentials so that I am not paying to ship things I really don't need or can replace on the other end for cheaper than what it will cost to move. So much to do, and I don't even have an exact date to move yet. Sometime before the end of the month if at all possible. I can't wait. I am so ready for a change.

Decluttering is a good thing! I moved thousands of miles a few years ago. You are right to get rid of things you don't need because of the cost incurred. Good luck! Hope you enjoy where ever you are moving to and your new digs.

Change is good and so is getting rid of things you no longer need. Good luck on the move.

So where are you moving too, the UK? It is amazing how much a person accumulates. The funny thing is how many we have of same item. I'll bet you I have at least thirty kitchen knives.
