A couple years ago here, we had a bank robber that wrote the note on his deposit slip from another bank! Yep really smart !

This sort of thing happens frequently. Even in shows like First 48 you see perps leaving their cell phones or having the victim's phone. Then there are the perps who try to break in from the roof and get stuck in ducts or something and die there. They usually don't get noticed until they start stinking.

Though kind of unrelated, my favorite is one I saw on fark a few years ago about a burglar being shot and killed in Las Vegas as he was entering a home, by another burglar who had already broke in from the other side of the house, talk about bad luck!

I saw one on the news not too long ago where a dumb criminal broke into a house, the home owners came home, and the thief called 911.
