I don't know if this will make it to the post or not but I thought I might vent for a minute as there seems to be a lot of spammers out there. For anybody uneducated as to what a Spammer is - they are the people who send you multiple E-Mails asking you to contact them outside the site, they also tend to all be in the same location (ever notice that?) - because the site logs IP addresses by network/server location. So they always pop up in and around the same general geographic area. They are also not incredibly intelligent and prey on the undereducated Internet user.
All that being said, I have already handed out some general info as to how to spot a Spammer. They usually come out with a general greeting, and close their messages with " . . .you may contact me at my personal E-Mail xxx123 @ whatever dot com." If you DO contact them, they give you some sob story about how they're trying to move merchandise, or move funds from one country to another and they ask for money ranging from $10 to $1000.
These people severely annoy me - I am here to find REAL people for healthy erotic friendships, and Spammers keep clogging my E-Mail box. It has made other users cautious as well, and creates difficulty when trying to make friends. Because every one is waiting on you to hit them up for money, or some other dumb shit.
Ladies, you out number the guys about 3 to 1, guys the odds are against you. I guess you could consider this a general info shout out - do us all a favor a report Spammers when they hit you up. Clean up the site - and we can all have a better, safer time!

Welcome to the blogs.

Spammers are everywhere. I really feel for those who get suckered by them. And, yes, I will agree...it does make it very difficult for people to trust and make friends. But, all in all, I think people for the most part know what to look for, and posting info such as this helps those who don't know. Usually those who are just entering the wide world of internet dating.

Something a lot of us are familiar with: "report, block, delete".

Spammers have been here since day one as all of the long term members know. We also know how to spot them and we ignore them with the knowledge that the new people will report them and get them removed. I personally kind of enjoy seeing their screen names in my inbox change from pink to black.

P.S. If you change your settings to automatically approve all comments, you will get more

Like I said, the undereducated user, or the very lonely or very desperate user might not spot them. I hope the blog helps any one that isn't aware - I'm just trying to make friends, and it seems like nothing but Bots and Canned Meat the last few days . . .know what I mean?

Eventually people figure it all out. It is not uncommon for two or three guys a day to complain about spammers and women bitch about rude come ons by me. But that is just the way it is and always has been
