Who do you think is going to win the NCAA basketball title this year? 32 of the 64 teams began play starting today what is called March Madness.

I have been a University of North Carolina basketball fan since early 1984 when I was 17. They have put Ohio State and North Carolina in the East brackets. Even though I live in Ohio and am a Ohio State football fan, I will still be rooting for North Carolina to go all the way.

Yes, Kentucky is also playing in the East brackets this year, and we do have a lot of Kentucky fans in my area, as we do Cincinnati, and Ohio State fans. However, I look for Ohio State to beat Kentucky down the road, and then North Carolina to beat Ohio State and go on to meet Duke in the final 4. I would love to see North Carolina and Cincinnati, but I don't see Cincinnati even making it past Connecticut.

The other two teams I feel that will round out the final 4 will be Kansas and Florida.

*Quick summary*

Final 4 teams in my opinion: North Carolina, Duke, Florida, and Kansas.

Final matchup: North Carolina vs. Kansas

Champions: NORTH CAROLINA!

Now, let's hear your picks!

well, Carolina does have a tendency to suck, and they are pretty dumb, so I will go with Duke.

Go to hell Carolina!

Every one of the games can be watched live if you have cable or satellite. They will be on CBS, TRU, TNT, or TBS. You can go to this link to see what channels games are on as well as scores

I have been a University of Georgetown fan for as long as I can remember but I don't think they will go to deep into the tournament this year. I still love college basketball and will enjoy watching the tournament.

Final Four: Ohio St, Duke, Kansas and Pittsburgh.
Finals: Kansas and Ohio St.
Champions: Ohio St.

I love...love...love March Madness. I think Ohio State has a strong chance of becoming the champs...but I never count my chickens before the basketball game...because you just never know what's going to happen during this particular tourney...and with so many amazing athletes.

No, they aren't going anywhere, one and done as number six is administered an 18 point dicking by number eleven, VCU. This one was over at halftime.

yeah bruce...the game started when I needed to leave for work. I heard at the bar and the guy that said something about it was an ass. i was polite. ...so...we are done??? You know i used to keep up with it, but I have been so busy and the hours I work keep me away from the TV. Not a clue what memphis is doing, unless someone tells me. we are out of it??? oh well...the best team might win, unless the fuck up and get accidentally pointed out by another...happens all the time.

Yeah, they are out. It is win or go home. The game was close throughout. There were a lot of fouls on both sides and Memphis stunk at the free throw line, which historically a problem for them.

...the free throw issue you again????...it isn't even the same players...must be the coaching....

Bunny, free throws are fundamental in organized basketball from about twelve on. Much of this may go back to street balling and inadequate coaching in junior and senior high school. Where the university may have a big fault is overlooking this in their recruiting by opting for more talented, athletic, but less disciplined players. This has historically been the slam against Georgetown also. I tend to think that it is the philosophy of the program in all of this as coaches and players change but the culture doesn't so the strengths and weaknesses are the same.

If you stop and think about it, many schools have traditional personalities in how they play the game over the years despite the turnover of players. The names will change, but their game doesn't.

North Carolina handled Long Island yesterday with a 102-87 victory.

I didn't catch the Kentucky and West Virginia game today, so I'm not sure who won that one. Even though I hate Kentucky, I would rather see them win than West Virginia.

Kentucky and West Virginia game today

I listened to it all while working, watched some of it. It was back and forth until close to end. I watched the last of it and Kentucky stepped up at the end while West Virginia seemed to choke. It was an entertaining game

That was also true for Florida and UCLA. I am a Bruin fan as they were my childhood college team. I was bummed that they lost but the best team won. Florida has this guy who is 5'8" who was amazing in the game. He was the difference. I tip my hat to him

We have already had two barn burners today that were magnificent wire to wire. The first was North Carolina against Washington. That was followed up by another nail biter, Duke against Michigan. Games like these are what is so riveting and dramatic in sports that only March Madness can provide annually Next is Ohio State and George Mason. I expect OSU to prevail but it not to come easy. I anticipate a lot of real life drama from here on into the evening as young men give their all to advance to the sweet sixteen Outside of the Olympics, there is nothing like it

Yet, another nail biter, as Arizona beat Texas (much to my dismay) at the buzzer by one. Meanwhile, number eleven VCU is on top of number three Purdue by twelve early in the second half...wow

Ohio St. won 98-66. So you thought the win for Ohio St. wouldn't come easy eh?

Puke for Duke, thumped by 16 by Arizona. It was close with Duke maybe even leading at the half.

I didn't expect Arizina to beat Duke tonight.

Well, well... the final Four is set for next week's showdown. As Gomer used to say, "Surprise, surprise, surprise!" I don't recall a Final Four without at least one number one or two seed in it. This is one of the many reasons that I adore March Madness

Though there aren't many Pervians interested, none of us who weighed in got a single final four team correct! The pairings will ensure that one obscure underdog will take on an established college basketball power in the finals next week:

VCU (11) vs Butler (8)
Kentucky (4) vs Connecticut (3)

BTW, for those of you who are remotely interested, Butler is in Indianapolis, so many may have somebody to pull for I will be rooting for VCU or butler to win it all Here, we will pull for the Butler Bulldogs as per my dynamic duo's insistence to beat the Connecticut Huskies. Nobody is rooting for the Kentucky WildCATS.

I can't believe my North Carolina blew it there at the end.

I'm not interested in the teams that are left, but if I had to pick one I guess it'll have to be UCONN.
