On a different note if Charlie Sheen can't find a job do you think Johnie Knoxville will hire him to be a die hard Jack Ass or has he accomplished that already.

I am watching it now. My daughter called me at six this morning telling me about it. On the CNN Web site, it is the largest headline that I have ever seen.

I understnd it is now headed for the west coast and parts of Washington and Oregon have been evcuated. They think the waves will be larger by the time they get to the west coast. Hope everyone told to evucate will have the common sense to do so.

I lived in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture from 1988 to 1990. This city is near epicenter (guess the quake originated out in the ocean) of the quake and the ensuing tsunami. Japanese police are reporting they've found 200 to 300 bodies in the coastal region of the town (the area where the tsunami came ashore).
While in Japan I experienced lots and lots of earthquakes! Luckily, for me, most were minor (4.0 on the Richter Scale). I lived on the top floor of a 4 floor apartment building. That building would sway during a quake- it was the oddest sensation! After being in Japan several years I got "Quakedar". Right before an earthquake hit, my heart would skip a couple of beats- then the quake would hit! Also very strange..
I commuted to work downtown via train. Sometimes I'd come home to find broken dishes or kitchen stuff thrown down on the floor because of an earthquake. But we hadn't felt anything downtown at work.
I still have many friends and "family" (host families) in Sendai. I have been praying all morning for their safety!

Through coincidence or divine intervention, this thing hit North and South America at low tide But my heart, prayers and go out to the people in northern Japan who were not so lucky

I saw that about Japan this morning on the news when I got up for work.. I really feel for those people out there.

And now, I'm hearing on the news about one of the nuclear plants/reactors exploding....the devastation out there is just so overwhelming. It's going to be a long time cleaning up and trying to restore Japan. I really feel for those people.
