A few weeks ago, there was a story on our local news about a dog that was left tied to a tree. Just left there to die. It was shortly after the blizzard. The creeps who did this bragged about it in a posting on Craigslist. Well, someone who had read that posting cared enough to go out and look for that dog. They found her. I'm going to provide a couple of links...and I'll warn all, there is one picture of Daisy, as she's become known to us following her story, taken right after her rescue, and if you're an animal lover, it will both rile you and bring tears to your eyes to wonder how anyone could be so damned cruel.

Today, Daisy is doing much better. She's had surgeries, she's putting some weight on, and from what I heard on the radio on the way home, she is home, with the people who rescued her and she is walking around. Many here in the area contributed, myself included, to help with her vet bills. I am so glad that the lady who saw that posting had the love in her heart to go out and look for Daisy. That is one lucky dog! And she's adorable too! I love her big brown eyes.

Here are the links:

The first one is the facebook page set up for her:

Saving Daisy

The second one is the little write up on our local news website giving the update on Daisy.

Daisy's update

Considering all of the nastiness out there in the world, it's so nice to see that people do care, a lot of love in our area has poured out for Daisy. Now she has a chance at a warm, loving, and happy life. Not bad for a dog that was left to die.

To date, the authorities still haven't found the assholes who did this to Daisy. I really hope they get caught before they harm another animal.

I sheepishly admit to dodging your previous post. Though selfish, it was a reality that could hammer my serenity. As you know from reading my recent blog, my daughter brought this home to me in her life. These people threaten my balance of perspective and set off sides within me that I do not want to see that don't represent my best attributes of humanity.

About fifteen years ago this came out in my last fight. I heard some yelping from outside. I looked out my window and saw a twenty something year old mother fucker kicking a puppy like a football.

I am somewhat ashamed to admit it, but I went over there and confronted him (I was still pretty fit at around 6'2 and 225 pounds). Long story short, we got down to terms and I beat the hell out of him (my last fight). I took the puppy to the vet where my daughter worked (it was a golden lab). She was not seriously injured and they found her a good home

I must also admit, embarrassed in hindsight, that I left the son a bitch unconscious on the lawn and did not bother to call 911.

What is odd is that nothing further happened...no cops. It was a rent house and dude moved

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who would kick a puppy like a football deserves to get their ass kicked.

I commented on this once in a blog. Don't remember where. But, it had to do with my sister and I getting home from school, and our best friend was with us. As we were walking up to the house, our neighbor was sitting on the porch of the church across the street from my parents house, and he had his doberman with him. Well, she (doberman) trotted up to us and greeted us. We rubbed her ears, told him she was a pretty dog. As we were walking up to the house, we heard this horrible "thunk" sound, then heard the dog literally screaming in pain, and when we turned around, we saw the neighbor hauling this dog up and slamming her onto the road, and then proceeded to punch and kick her, and wail away on her with the chain leash he had on her. The three of us started yelling at him to stop it, and my dad heard the commotion. He came out of the house and got right into the guys face and told him if he ever saw him beating on that dog again, he was going to beat him into the ground. The neighbor was quite surprised by that because my dad is usually a quiet, easy going person. He just can't stand people who abuse animals.

Maybe the creeps will brag to the wrong person and get busted for what they did- one can only hope!

I can't look at the pics. It will kill me. I can't take the sorrow of the wounds today. I promise you I have had my battles with people who abuse. My neighbor for 10 years fought pit bulls and used puppies to induce the taste for blood. I lost it and was almoost hospitalized. I recovered and managed to get the fucktard arrested 3 times and finally the dogs will never be in his ownership again. he is jailed and I saved a few pup lives, but not all.
I am happy this pup is being taken care of and there are so many more. i don't know what is wrong with people, but I feel it is being raised wrong...once again I will say...anyone can have a child...it is how you teach your child to work against lifes negativities that show you are up to the task.

She is just so precious looking...especially those big pleading brown eyes.

Hopefull they will find the dumbasses responsible for leaving her to die and make them pay for.
