I saw a story on the news tonight about a boxer pup left tied to a tree to die. Her leg is broke in 2 places, and so far, the vet says the bill to help this poor pup will be $1,600. But, a woman with a heart of gold, who saw the posting about this dog on Craigslist, went and found her and is trying to get up the money needed to help this pup.

How bittersweet! A very sad story for the dog but what a kind person that woman is!! Kudos to her!! 
I have a craigslist story to share. I was checking out the lost and found the other night and came across someone who had found a dog on my road. I emailed them and said I have seen too many dogs and cats dropped off on this road after all these years. We have acquired a few pets that way actually. But the woman that found the dog told me that he was desperately trying to get into people's cars so it was obvious this dog had belonged to someone. I just thought yet another dog had been dropped off here. But I checked my mail today and found a flyer where someone was looking for their dog who wondered off and got lost. I called the numbers on the flyer and a lady called me back and told me that yes it was her dog. While she was out putting out the flyers, the husband of the woman who had posted the CL ad came across her and told her they had her dog!! And she got her dog back!! 
There are some good things about CL.....

It's good that people are wanting to help & doing so but it would seem that someone who makes good money would step up & take care of the cost with one swoop. PTN you did good as well.

Thanks for sharing the story..I hate animal abuse..Or any other kind of abuse. If I had the money and space I would do animal rescue. Right now I have 3 cats and a black lab mix puppy that was found out in the cold.Freezing a little over a month ago. She is growing quick and loves to play with my grey cat. Her name is Lilly. You could see her bones when she came to me..Now she is gaining weight. I have bought her so many dog toys and treats..She is already spoiled..
