DO YOU THINK ITS FAIR ? posted 2/7/2011 5:05:04 AM | 1 kudo what's this?     report abuse   flavorbuster That if a blog war starts for all of pervia to see & the ones battling suddenly disappear & continue private email. What's the purpose of doing that when it started in public ? Why not finish in public ? Most people find it offensive to battle on their blogs like it's taking from their topic. Now if it's a troll just trying to take up space then I may shut it down but for ones that have been here a while & I know by all means battle away on my blog. At least I'll have a front row seat for the entertainment. I really don't think it's fair to start some shit for all to see then fade away & not let pervia see the outcome. What do you think ? Well let me simplify this as an example: Lets say that all the combatants are your friends or on your friends list then what do you think ? 	You may say it depends on what it is but realistically if either party has got the gall to voice an opinion that might have repercussions on the main battle field then they should finish it there.

	I think the purpose of going to private email is so that if both combatants have the same folks on their friend's lists it so the friends aren't made to feel like they need to "speak up". That's just one thought. Not everyone will get along, and sometimes those who are friends, will disagree, and maybe decide it isn't fair to other Pervian's to air it out in the blogs. As for trolls...the power they have is the power that others give them when they acknowledge them. As the old saying goes: "Don't feed the trolls". But, then again, sometimes it feels good to use a troll as a punching bag. Now, if a blog war breaks out, and all combatants are on my friend's list....it's between them and I will not take one's side over the other. They can email me if they want to "present their side" of the issue, but ultimately, it's up to them to resolve it them selves.

	If people shit in their own yards, fine. But frequently you have this shit burst forth in a blog posted by somebody who is not even involved in the squabble. In that case it can pollute the blog. Plus, if it gets too hot, the moderators will come in and kill off the blog regardless of whether the poster is involved in the fire fight or not. I have seen this happen.

They can email me if they want to "present their side" of the issue, but ultimately, it's up to them to resolve it them selves. Good comment as well but you don't get a kiss. Well considering the way we have been on our own lately I would think that would only be if someone complained to the moderators. I may be wrong but remember not too long ago everyone was bitching about having to beg the moderators to adhere to their complaints. In that respect of canceling my blog due to people fussing on it would piss me off & honestly it didn't cross my mind.. Thanks
