Do you throw snow in your neighbors yard?

I have local news on and they are, of course, talking about the recent storm. One of the topics they are talking about is when digging out the driveway, where do you put the snow? In the neighbors yard?

Where I live, my neighbors yard touches my driveway, so, while removing snow, yes, I do throw in their yard, but, it's not thrown WAY into the yard, just a "flip" of the shovel alongside my driveway.

And I really hope the plow is done going by now...I've already been out there twice today clearing out the end of my driveway after it has gone by!

Oh yeah...little note to the one who likes to run up the view count...I've been feeling left out lately....What's up with that?

Two days, many cups of coffee and pain meds later I can get my car out of my driveway! Just barely, but I can get out to the street! What pisses me off was the next door neighbor had some 'friends' of his come out and plow part of our road to get him out for work at Walmart (yeah we all know how important that was!) These assholes (there's no other fitting word to describe them) didn't pile the snow off in ditches, hell no, they piled it across my drive and my dads across the street! It's up past my fence all the way across my drive! So my dad (now remember he's nearly 82 and has quadruple bypass surgery) and I have shoveled on this shit for two damn days just to get a path wide enough to get my car out! So right now I'm totally pissed at the neighbor and his 'friends'!!!

He didn't say a word yesterday afternoon when he came out, got in his truck and pulled out for work, while I'm standing out there shoveling this shit! I was soooo damn mad, I didn't say anything either, afraid I'd blow up on his goofy ass!

I would have been tempted to shovel a healthy amount of it back into his driveway. I said tempted, doesn't mean I'd do it. That takes some work..and snow gets pretty darn heavy after a while.

I spent 2 1/2 hours digging out my driveway yesterday. Normally it usually takes a half hour to dig out my driveway. Then today, plow made one sweep by, so I went out and cleared that out of the end of the driveway. Then it went by again later, and I was back out there to get that too.

I am so sick of shoveling snow thanks to this damn storm!!!!

We wound up with 20", I have a 35 foot sidewalk to get to the carport, then a 40 foot long drive to get to the street! Got a good path down the sidewalk, a path down to the big dog's house (which if this hadn't hit he was supposed to go to a farm yesterday!) and got the driveway cleared, plus a path out to the street wide enough for my car to back out or pull through. The "mound" by the street was nearly 4 feet tall and just as wide! Plus it seemed to have a lot more ice in it so it was a bitch! I'm about to hit the shower, completely thaw out and put on my jammies, then it's the good meds for me and possibly bed time really early!

No, we just stay home and let mother nature take care of it. We don't shovel snow. Fuck it, everything is shut down. We and deal with it in that fashion for a few days, you can't. It doesn't happen THAT often.

Thankfully, I only got 11 inches in my area. But still...that's a lot of snow to shovel at one time.

Enjoy that hot shower!

No... but, my snow blower does... sometimes!

Actually yesterday, I had a small engine roaring near my house! Finally, after wondering what the hell was going on and planning on going out to clear my driveway with my snow blower anyway, I opened my breezeway door and discovered that my fairly new neighbor was clearing my driveway for me!

My blower is good up to 6 inches deep of snow- his is good for up to 12 inches and he knew this! I said: "you didn't have to do this"- he said: "the snow is deep (it was about a foot or more) and you would be doing this all day." He was probably right! I offered to pay for his trouble or buy him some gas! He said I didn't have anything else to do but, next time I leave for the weekend, how about watching my house? Deal!

Last week, his house was broken into and they got his flat screen TV and a laptop! After talking about it for a few minutes, we both figured it was someone he knows! It happened to me too in Mobile, AL in the late 80s only, all they took was an Apple II+ I put together! Actually, it worked out pretty good because my insurance paid for an Apple IIe,which was the best Apple had at the time and that was someone I knew too- just couldn't really prove it!

Anyway, long answer for a short Subject title!

We have had a light snow as you know. I was watching outside of my window and across the street, a neighbor went after it with his lawn mower around his car. It seemed to work

Hell, I shovel it on and in my own yard. If I was shoveling a place for my car on the street, I would shovel it out in the street.
