Thanks ya'll. The boots will be gathering dust tonight tho! I've already cancelled my plans to go out, this damn cold/ flu/ whateverthefuckitis is kicking my ass! They had me a cake at work yesterday, (those of you on FB with me saw the pics) I went in just long enough to cut it and then then left!
Here's the hell of it, I had lost 11.4 pounds by the 17th of this month just by cutting back and moving more. So when a girlfriend at work asked me if I wanted to go to the gym with her on her son's membership (he broke his leg and had to have surgery, can't workout for a few months!) I jumped at the chance! Tuesday night after work we rushed to the gym, changed into workout clothes and got started! Did a mile on the treadmill to warm up then hit the machines with a vengeance! Did a good solid hour of workout and felt great! Made plans to go every night after work. Well the best laid plans........and the road to hell......yeah all that good stuff! Wednesday night as work was letting out it was blizzard conditions! We didn't go! So by Thursday morning I was feeling a little sore from the Tuesday night workout! Spent the day snowed in, waiting for the plows to run! By Thursday night the cold was settling in and so was the soreness from the workout! Friday I went in to work just long enough to cut my cake, pick up some more medicine and come back home! I've spent more time in bed this week than a base side hooker on exodus weekend! So my "Birthday" really sucks this year, if someone else would want to go out and celebrate for me, feel free!

Aw Stormy, I'm sorry to hear the flu caught up with you. Yanno, who said one had to celebrate their birthday exactly on their birthday? It would be nice but sometimes shit happens...an ya got shit right now so I'm sending a hug and some hot tea and a jar of Vick's salve. Momma always rubbed Vick's salve on the chest, under the nose...wherever it worked and applied a warm towel...works wonders.
You'll get better then you can have a belated celebration...boots 'n all.

Yeah...I got the flu at christmas ...couldn't even go to christmas dinner..they even had a special turkey with edible panties on.....

Thanks ya'll! Hope to be well enough to celebrate next weekend. My "sis" is coming down from KC, we'll stay at her older sister's house a couple towns over. We've not had a girls night out in over 30 years so it will be good to get together! Her house is only 3 blocks from the club where my favorite band will be playing! And it turns out the owner of the bar is an old friend I've not seen in over 30 years either! So it will be great to get together with old friends/ family and celebrate! Not the same as celebrating tonight but still will be a good time!
