it is amazing what a little medication can do, and some oxygen. he has been getting anti-biotics for the pneumonia, and today he got a nicotin patch so he isn't craving that as much. and definitely doing better. heck this morning he actually ate nearly all of his breakfast. and for him that was something. he said his appetite sudden switched on. he din't have room for lunch, so he just sent it back, but was looking forward to dinner.
the changes that have come over him in the last 3 days are amazing, and i think he will continue to get better with the physical therapy, which he isn't fighting the idea of as much, and even seriously thinking of quiting smoking. that will be good for us both, 'cause i'm going to have to quit too.
tomorrow he is going to have a biopsy done on a spot on one lung, and after that we will see what the future holds. but no matter what happens, at least now he is looking forward to life somewhat. it will be a slow recovery, since he had gotten so far down, but if he fights thru some more, it will be a victory for us both. the path won't be an easy one i know, and a lot of changes will have to be made by us both. but where he had previously just "thought" about doing something, he knows now he has to act, all the thinking in the world won't get anything done but waste time.
the weather is going to turn cold with snow forcast over the next couple of days, but that won't stop me form getting somethings taken care of here, and i should be able to get into see him and the docs tomorrow. after that, snow may hold me back, but it won't last long.
to everyone that has sent good thoughts, prayers, and hope his way, a big heartfelt thank you from me. i do appreciate all of it, and much from those that only know me thru the blogs here.

That's good news! I hope you both can quit smoking. It's funny but I quit over a year ago and didn't have a problem with it until I moved here. The temptation nags at me but I just keep reminding myself of all the reasons I quit...I will not start again for anything. Being a non-smoker is a freedom that is wonderful.
Best of luck to both of you and it sounds like he's making an awesome turnaround. Tell him he's got lots of people here rooting for him...
