Well...several months ago I talked about doing a nude photo shoot. Well...I did it!
I did it in the comfort of my own home and it was a blast! I actually wished it lasted a bit longer. Just when I really started getting into it....our time was up!
Although it fucked with my head all day long, I am finally settling into the fact that I am GLAD I did it....I feel different....not quite sure yet how or why....more to come on that....but....I feel great! I honestly must say that if anyone is trudging through issues of un-balanced self esteem due to past sexual trauma.....I would encourage you to consider nude photography as a way of exploring who you are.....it may not be for you, I am just suggesting it as a means of "opening the kimono" if you will.
The interesting part about it was that I had found this photographer quite a while ago and we just nevr quite were able to connect...so we exchanged a few messages on FB.....no phone conversations or meetings or anything! LOL (Don't worry) He's all legit! 
It was the craziest thing....and it was good!

Yes... congratulations! I think it's something more women should do... thinking seriously about doing it although I have taken nude shots of me, but never like the way they turn out... lol!

Peach- I am learning that pictures taken of me on a cell phone are one thing...on a digital camera are another....a web cam another...and professionally...COMPLETELY something different....and heres the thing...with all of those mediums....we only see the FRONT or sometimes a side view....I did it all today....undressing, in my living room, in my office, in my bed, in my shower.....getting dressed....laying down, sitting up, walking away....so I am going to see a finished product of ALL angles and sides from a professional.....which in my opinion...is way different from a digital camera or whatever....I say DO IT!!!! DO IT!!! You will be so glad you did! Right Kat!

A friend whose a professional photographer has offered several times, but I'm just not ready for that! Maybe a few pounds down from now.....I would consider it! Congrats tho! I know it's quite an accomplishment!

everyone is different, but I have modeled nude for many years. i started right after I graduated art school. It was my way of paying back.
I went to Memphis College of Arts and had many drawing classes with nude models. I thought it was a good idea to do the same. I modeled for years for painters, those who draw and photographers and have been the subject of many shows.
Me...yep...just at ease at being naked. I do understand those that don't find it easy, or will never do it. Good for you. I always thought it natural...but I have been around the arts most of my life and don't find it to be ackward.

I was taught its rude not to share   
I've been known to take the odd provocative shot, but no-ones ever been interested enough to ask to look .

Capturing Beauty on film...is awesome!!! There are not many things on earth that come close to matching the Beauty....of a Woman's Body!!!
Mother Nature is the next best thing(outdoors!)....that's what I do!

I have a friend who painted me in the nude from age 19 until I was age 50. At that point I felt I had reached my expiration date for that type of painting. It is interesting to look at that series of paintings and see my life more or less in front of me.

Well....I'm that girl in the kimono that everyone pleads to "LEAVE IT ON!!!" A 60 pound weight gain during a pregnancy at 15 yrs. old and a 10 lb. baby led to an abundance of very ugly stretch marks. Then a lifestyle that left my body being the last thing of importance to be considered and....well, the rest is history.....no nude photos here....not ever and not even close!
But I'm happy to hear it was such a good experience for you....

Oh yeah, I did that way back in the day.. then I became a 'pin-up' photographer for a while.. I think I still have some of the really artsy photos of mine somewhere.. I'll have to look for them.

After reading all these comments, I must say that for those of you that can't imagine ever doing such a thing....I would gently ask you to simply consider the idea. Each of us has our own personal beauty that has been given to us as a gift....no matter what we have done or how life has treated us and our bodies. None of that changes the beauty we have in and out.....it is not easy...I am certainly not implying that it is by any means! It wasn't.....again...I have to laugh..... by the time we were done, I was FINALLY starting to relax....but learning to see ourselves thru a different lens...as others do.....can be transformational in how we do relationships with others as well as ourselves. However, if you are one that is already comfortable with your whole self, that is perfect....I wish I could have been....but...this is a means to end for me....and it is...in an odd way...like a drug....and I LOVE the high and if I could share with you I would!

Good for you, I hope you're pleased with the results. As a serious amateur photographer, I've recently started getting interested in boudoir photography. Nudes are fine (although I've not taken any), but I think the boudoir style can be very sensual and erotic.
