And I'm enjoying it. Yes, even my 5 brats............errr .............monsters.... ummmm..............pains...................... oh yeah! Dogs! Are quiet. Yes, they can be quiet...especially when all of them are sleeping.
Don't know about the rest of you, but, I'm glad the holiday season is over. Don't get me wrong, I love the Christmas and New Years holidays..the festiveness of it, seeing family and friends, and the way some go all out with decorating. Makes me enjoy the calmness afterwards even more. I think this year, I'm going to try something different with regards to Christmas shopping. Basically, throughout the year, if I see something that I know a family member would like for Christmas, I'll get it....providing I can afford it at the time. A co worker was telling me that is how she has been doing her Christmas shopping. Now, let's see if I have the patience to keep these gifts put away UNTIL Christmas!
Well, winter up this way has been relatively quiet for Michigan. Only one snow storm back in early December. That snow is all but gone now except for the snow piles from plowing. Dogs are disappointed in that. No snow in their backyard to play in. I really feel (sort of) sorry for them...they run outside, and then stop. And look around them as if wondering where the snow is. Especially the 3 younger ones, Buddy, Princess, and Tazz. They are the ones who really enjoy it..the other two, Sasha and Diefenbacher, have gotten to a point where they don't pay it much attention....although, Sasha will sometimes act like a puppy again and play in it. Little One, she's a young cat I've got here, 2yrs old, has wanted to go outside, but, I don't let her out in that backyard. To my dogs, that is their backyard, and I've already found 2 dead cats back there. Brats! They have grown up around cats, but yet, if one wanders into their backyard...they seem to "forget" that. It's a territorial act on their part, one I wish I could convince them is a bad idea. So, now, before letting them out, I check to make sure no innocent critter is in the backyard.
Well, I think I'll take off for now....maybe check back in later.
