I have a date tomorrow night for the first time in a few months with a cute blonde that I met through a mutual friend. She's a bit taller than me but I tend to like my women tall. I get some sort of thrill out of looking up into their eyes, I don't know - maybe it's because I'm on the tall side myself. I'm kind of nervous because I don't know her that well (though she seems very sweet and cute) plus my friends keep telling me that having dinner on the first date is a bad idea and it's better to go for drinks or something like that. Suddenly, I feel so old! Maybe I NEVER knew how to date. Ha.

Hey, It is what it is! Just go out and have a good time. Enjoy the time, dinner and conversation just like you would with an old friend save a few familiarities. Life is just too short to do it any other way.

Well, if she's going out on a Monday, she must really like you. Or, she wants to go on a night when all of her friends are at home. You'll do fine ! You'll either "click" or not. But, hey!, why not start the week with a sweet, cute, taller lady that might be something special ? Imagine what Friday may bring !

Have a great night and just enjoy what the night brings. Everyone has different opinions of what to do on a first date. To me dinner seems a bit formal for a first date, where a few drinks and playing pool or darts is a little more relaxed. Just do what is comfortable to you and have a great time.

Geesh...the rules always keep changing. Heck I've always thought it was good to ask someone out to lunch, dinner or buy them a coke or something along those lines. I do know that going to a movie on the first date is not a good idea, becuase it does not let you two get to really know one another and get a chance to talk. But being one who hasn't dated in forever and a lifetime, my advice is no advice at all, but my idea, i spose. Anywho, GOOD LUCK to you!

That's not true! You got what it takes! Go into this date with confidence and just be yourself and you will be a winner! Good for you about going out on a date! I hope she is a perfect date and you both look forward to spending more time together! Think Positive! Nothing wrong with dinner! Have some drinks beforehand and if for some reason you don't feel it is worth your time then be honest and say so.
