I went shopping last night at Walmart to get my daughter (Natasha) a birthday gift (today's her 22nd birthday *Dec.23*). Yeah, I waited the last minute to get her something. I also finished up my Christmas shopping and she was the last that I had to buy for.

For her birthday I kept it simple. I got her a very nice card, along with a cheese cake (her grandma *which is my ex's mom* didn't make a strawberry cake for her. Every birthday her grandma has always made one for her until this time. Natasha had told me last night that she had called her grandma's house earlier that afternoon, but instead talked with her aunt Christina because her grandma was wrapping gifts and getting things ready for Christmas eve before everyone shows up. That's when she found that she wasn't getting a cake. I kept this in mind when I went shopping. I also got her a bag of Ghiradella chocolates. She loves those after I introduced those to her 3 years ago. My ex from that time introduced those to me as well.

For Christmas I wasn't sure what to get her so I decided to play it safe and go with a $25 gift card. Seems like I'm the only one other than her grandma to buy for her during her birthday and Christmas.

She came on over today with Braylon (my 1 year old grandson. Alex (my other grandson is also doing well, and will be turning 3 in March), and spent some time visiting me, and later I gave her her gifts. She was touched, and the look on her face was priceless.

When she was about to leave her mom (Ann) called her and i could hear her mom wish her a Happy Birthday. I told Natasha to tell her mom I said hi, and so she did, and Ann gave a hi back to me.

As we walked on out to her car, I realized that she still hadn't gotten her renewal sticker to renew her license plates for another year. She had totally forgot to take care of that, and I told her that she needed to take care of this before the weekend.

It was a nice visit since I haven't gotten a chance to get with her until today.

We have 1-4 inches of snow that's expected to hit her sometime tomorrow. I am so looking forward to a white Christmas. From that 5' of snow that we got last week, there's still about 2" of it left on the ground.
