This is ridiculous. I'm sitting here typing when I could be out in the shop playing and not giving a rats ass about anything but what and how I’m going to do something. I've already mentioned why me and cold weather don't get along, so I won't go into that further. But, when I came in earlier, the side walk was getting slick, and I don't feel much like slipping and busting my can getting in or out of there. It's dark, so I can't see where the salt is down in the shed, and I’m not sure the sawdust and planer shavings I have will do anything but ice over, so here I am, again.
I'm thinking of making that hex basket into a wishing well lamp, just not sure what kind of light I’m going to put in it. But a couple of uprights on two flats, a roof, and a fake windlass with handle would really make it look good. If I get really bored, or wind up going wild, I could do what I did with one years ago, and cut shingles out of cedar for the roof. But can you imagine what I would have to charge for something like that? I'd have as much time in it as I did that last jewelry box.
I also cut the material for a smaller rectangular one today, but didn't put it together. Tomorrow tho... but as a decorative piece, that big basket, or one smaller would be great for any season or occasion with the proper dried or artificial foliage in it. I just don't have any to put in it, other than maybe some holly we have out front. And i'm not driving into Cape Girardeau just to get some. Think I’ll wait a couple days and see how the roads are, then go. Crazy I may be, but not foolish, or try not to be most of the time. We have groceries in the house to last a couple of weeks if it came down to that, so hunker down and not chance adding to the tow trucks work load.
And I really should do some laundry tonight, got my sheets done a couple of days ago, my whites a day or so before that, but pants and shirts are building up. Need to run the vacuum, clean up my room, do some dishes, and mop the kitchen floor. So there is plenty to keep me busy if I just get up and do it. But I don't wanna. PHHHHHHTTTTTTTTT.
Just looked at NOAA, and this is what I’m looking at...
