Did I get a good laugh today. Remember the trouble I had with the motor for my saw? They lost all track of it even being on order, I got a new saw delivered, finally. And guess what showed up on my door step today? A new motor.

Yup, I looked out the window and there was a big box sitting there and I’m thinking what the heck. So brought it in, and it was heavy. So opened it, and low and behold, there it was. And after all the trouble I had getting it, I had to laugh. Now I’m in a quandary. Do I take it back to Sears or not say anything and keep it? Believe me, i'm very tempted not to say anything, so if this one goes to hell on me, I won't have the wait to get things going again. As it is, i'd have to adjust everything again if I put this on in the saw now, but since everything is working good, I don't want to tempt fate. Oh well, I'll figure it out tomorrow.

Now that's Life right there Folks!!!
I would call them...and tell them the Story....., or If you want to go there anyways...Print the Story up,...because...you know you will have to tell it many, many times!!!
I have been there!!!!
Good Luck with that!!!

Maybe call them, explain the whole 'miserable' problem they put you through and offer to pay 1/2 price for it- they'll either want it back (at their expense), go with the 1/2 price deal or let you keep it! At least if the new motor you just got has a problem later, you'll have the spare to fix it with, if you end up keeping it! Make it their choice!

...I got 3 down comforters that way...a blanket in every room...never told a soul...not my style, but they fucked up my world and trying to explain it to them would just fuck it up again...keep it...and ponder... ...or...have a great time calling and finding the right person to talk to and explain it and get transfered many times till ya get hung up on and your whole day is shot cause you're honest.

i don't think they will compromise, probably want this new one back, unless they can't find a record of it.. i'd really be quite happy to let them have the old one tho. right now it's taking up space i need out in the shop, and doesn't work at all. but my basic intentions were to contact them anyway. unfortunately, i can resist anything but temptation.

I would give them one call, one chance and if they don't respond appropriately, it is on them.

About thirty years ago they began to permit branch banking in Texas. Many banks merged with one another. I was using a bank that was merging with others and they all contracted with a large Dallas bank to process transactions. They were always screwing up my checking account by entering data wrong and charging me for a check I did not write or they got the amount wrong. I had decided to fire their sorry asses as it was a major hassle getting things corrected to the point of sometimes having to take off from work.

Well justice was served. I had already opened an account an another bank and was in the process of transitioning when I got my statement and there was a deposit listed that I never made. So I went down and closed out my account, got my money as well as somebody else's. Several months later they called me about it and had the nerve to ask me to come in to discuss it. I told them no. Never heard another word.

My brother and his wife once ordered some new furniture for the living room and their bedroom. It was delivered and he never got a bill for it or heard anything about it.

I agree with what Bruce says....one call, give them a chance.
