What a funny and silly man he was! I loved him!!! He passed away over the weekend from pneumonia.... 84 years old.....

May he rest in peace......

First time I saw him as a serious actor was in a SciFi in the '50s called: Forbidden Planet- a classic, scary and well done flick for its time! And he was a funny actor to boot!

I'd expect more comments, this man was a national treasure.

As a kid I watched the Naked Gun movies and if you're a GG fan, he was Uncle Lucas from the 2-part series finale where Dorothy gets married. I know he was in other stuff going way back to the 50s but ask someone, a younger kid who he was and you'd get "huh?"

Anyway, I won't lie, a got a bit misty- dude was awesome. RIP Leslie, somewhere I'm sure you're cracking them up.

To be honest he was not one of my favorite actors.......but probably more because of the type of movies he did..........but there was one....... Mr. Magoo....that was totally hysterical.......he was very talented and he will be missed very much..........RIP

Good lord...if it wasn't for you peeps on AMD...I would probably never know who passed away. That's just how far out of the loop I am.

I agree with Ms. Skwirl...it seems like a lot of the greats from my childhood are passing away. Very sad indeed. RIP Leslie Nielson.

He was a Hell of an Actor!! The Movies that he Played in... did not show his ability!!! So I see it!
