Well this year it was Italian for Thanksgiving, sauce cooked for two days and home made ravoli to go under said sauce... Had Pecan pie that daughter made and green beans and sweet potatoes Yumm... It has been a tradition of sorts to do a un thanksgiving dinner.. but some years we do do traditional... Then on Friday after I took my daughter to work I stopped by the store and the fresh turkeys were on clearance and yeppers bought one cooked it today but did it with cajun spices not too bad so I will be eating Turkey when you all are done with it with gusto but I am sure by the end of the week.. I too shall be sick of turkey... Sounds like you had a great feast and fun on top of it all... Awesome...

Good blog hun 'cept I don't do the leftover thingy... I don't keep extra food around and never dessert/sweets type stuff. After a big holiday meal, it seems anymore that is enough...I don't really wanna have leftovers. If I happen to have the meal here at home I send everything home with everyone else so I don't have any and the only exception might be a little turkey for one or 2 more meals.

We usually have wild game for Thanksgiving. The leftover venison went in the stew pot along with some vegetables and is now frozen for a later date. After the leftovers are gone I want something simple and will go back to eating mostly vegetables.
