Good post and some damned fine humor and funny lines in the first part. Slipping you a green thing.
On what people want and what they enjoy, I think it is a lot like many things including TV viewing. It is extremely varied and a very individual thing. When it comes to participation in games, contests, or posts asking questions seeking comments (like straddle's), what one person finds fun another can find as not being interesting in the slightest.
I think that you just have to kind of watch for the participation rates and see what hits and misses. A formula that worked yesterday may be a whiff tomorrow, but don't let it bring you down as that is just the way it is. The only guarantee of readership is a flame war. Also allow that the participation rate, in general, is probably a third to a fourth of what it was when you were gracing us with your posts in the past. I can say that I and others do appreciate your efforts.
Now as for what I personally like. I enjoy the contest things by and large, especially the ones that involve trivia. I enjoy some of the straddlesque questions, but for me that depends upon if the subject is of interest to me.

I like your games, just that my brain has decided to take a thanksgiving break at least a week early but to be honest, I like that you and everyone have brought something back to the blogs thats worth reading.
In parting, despite my ol sluggish brain, I cranked this one out to old Jazz, but its here for you guys since I know he's not going to approve it: I prefer the wheel I can strap you to and throw knives at your head and body while blindfolded. Call me?

I wonder how many men think they are like the map keeper to the G spot........
Well... I tried Microsoft's Streets and Trips, hoping I could find the elusive 'G' spot once... but that didn't work out very well- kept coming up with... 'X' marks the spot, whatever the fuck THAT means! Sooo... I'm writing Microsoft, to please upgrade their software and include that 'G' spot feature! 
I have trying to post some games here..........but it seems each time less and less people play.......

As to why you're wondering about the participation in your Q&A blogs, I'm thinking that people suddenly get what I call: The Ca$h Cab Flight Syndrome... they're afraid to look like dummies in front of half the planet! Well... to solve that, all you need do is buy the new book called: Ca$h Cab for Dummies and you'll be alright!!
I think your Q&A blogs are very interesting- I just don't know nut'n... apparently!

OHT makes a very good point. Sometimes it is a matter of when things get knocked off from the main page or most recently commented on list so people miss them.
What I have found to often work best during the week is to resist the temptation to post in the morning and delay doing so until mid-afternoon. That way the people that are here during the day can see it and it is still around when the others come on in the evening. I have seen some good posts come on late at night or in the morning, the day people weigh in before noon, and the blog sink off the page before the evening folks come on.

I like the games you have put up, the review you did and when Sugar does hers too. I haven't contributed anything lately, so I definately can't bitch. I like being entertained and you have really been trying. I guess it is all a matter of timing like Bruce said. I check everything out when I get up and when I get home...even the back pages, so I barely miss anything.

I want to thank all of you for your kind comments......and I will continue posting them........and I think i will take the suggestion of doing them in later afternoon.......and i never counted in the fact that some may do these long after they are over and just never let me know about it.............ummmm kudos would let me know if you dont want to post.........hint hint hint........
