This is not new, John. However, it is the first I have heard of it in a few months. This spring and summer it was happening to a lot of people. It involves them setting up there browser to auto refresh on the lost password page and all it does is request you be emailed your password, they are not trying to get it, just piss you off (they obviously succeeded). What some people have done is changed the contact info in their settings to a fake or new email address so they go there, or mark one as spam and then they go into your span filter.

Spam filters are nice, and let you "step over" the problem, but I think the best thing you can do is report the password request abuse. Report it any way that you can.
I don;t like the "step over it" solution others here at AMD are fond of.
For the record I have over 3000 emails in my TRASH (that is where I send all these lovely emails) in the last 30 days (gmail only keeps trash for 30 days). Judging from the time of day, it is someone on the West Coast or a very late riser. They do seem to coincide with a certain user's blogging patters,
