As may have been noted, I haven't been in much the last few days. Finally got some of the clutter out of the shop and into the burn pile, had an idea and went to work on that today. I'm trying to get some pics of it as I go along, and will post them to photobucket when I get finished with it.
I'm working on a small jewelry box. The wood is mainly cherry, with a little luan plywood on the bottom and the floor of the top. Right now I have no idea what it will turn out looking like. And won't even hazard a guess. I'm wishing I had the stuff to do some inlay work, but don't. Yet. Looking at a couple of places that have what I need, just haven't pulled out the debit card so far. I keep looking at my bank balance and wonder if I can justify a new router and the inlay stuff. Neither of my old ones will take the guides and bushings required. Sooooo, guess I’m going to own another router pretty soon.
Then I will have to get a dovetail jig, and some new bits, as the ones I have are not real good quality, and a router table so I can do some creative trim, and... the list just keeps on growing. But I do have a decent table saw, a band saw, a planer and a big drill press. I'm running out of room for toys. Then there are all the power tools, routers, drills, sanders, air compressors, circular saws and what ever else I forgot. I didn't get all this over night, some of it i've had for as much as 25 years. And the old stuff just keeps on keeping on. It's the newer junk that quits on me after a year or maybe two if I’m lucky.
Ya'll play nice while i'm busy.
Yeah, right.
