I got to thinking about that neighborhood that exploded a while back. I think it was out in California. Anyone remember that? It was caused by a gas pipeline. Anyway, I was thinking about that...and was wondering if my house was sitting on top of one of those pipelines. Thankfully, it's not.
But, there is a pipeline running through about 3/4 of a mile north of me.
Here is the site I found that on. It's pretty interesting if anyone is curious.

Well, I delete, clean out my blogs when I feel that they are no longer relevant or ones that I would never refer to again. Actually, I zapped five today.
As some of you may recall, our area had a gas leak in a home that blew up this spring. I deleted the blog about it.
The bottom line was that they inspected all of the homes, mine failed the inspection as did many others, and it was two weeks before I could get it fixed due to the backlog of work. Fortunately, this didn't happen in the winter, so it was just a hot water issue and it was warm enough to shower with room temperature water while boiling water to do dishes. The laundry got by without it too.

There was a home in Knoxville that blew up because of a natural gas line. A kid died in the explosion. Those pipelines scare me and I'm happy I'm not hooked into one of them, not where gas is involved at least!

Having worked with "Pipe" most of my Life...it really does make me wonder if the old Gas lines....are gonna cause a world of heartache..before they are replaced! I have seen Steel Pipe drain lines rust into...inside a dry environment!!!
Back in the Old Days....they were limited..on types of Pipe....and Quality!
I hope and Pray that they are replacing the Older lines....but I have not checked it out!!!
I'm sure...they are!!!
Thanks for the Info!

This is an update on my comment on this blog. The family has decided to sue KUB. I think KUB should have compensated them.... oh..... about a year ago!
