Today is a sad day for baseball fans, especially Tiger fans and Reds fans. Sparky Anderson has passed away.

I remember him as manager for the Tigers. It was with Anderson that the Tigers roared to a World Series Championship in '84. Sparky was a fun manager, loved the passion he had for the game.

RIP Sparky. Enjoy your diamond in the sky.

This is sad. He was quite a guy and I loved to listen to him in interviews. He was a character. He was also the manager who led straddle's big red machine in their glory days of the seventies. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I started hearing about him as of yesterday when he started taking a turn for the worse. I hated to hear this about him. The Reds reired his number 10 a few years ago.

He will be missed!
