She's the one I call my "goof ball". She has this cute, clutzy way about her. She's Buddy's sister...looks sort of like a golden retriever, only she has a reddish tint to her coat. Always looks like she's smiling. She's the more lovable one of the group I've got here. She really doesn't like to fight, although her bark can sound obnoxious.
Princess is one that likes to "lounge" in my little waterfall/pond in the backyard. It's not very big at all....she stands in it, and that's about all she can do. But in the summer...she loves it. She also loves the water sprinkler, along with Tazz. But yet, let it be raining out, and she acts like she's going to melt. Along with the others. Brats. While Sasha and Tazz just "jump" onto furniture, Princess never has. Instead, she climbs onto it. And once snuggled in, she looks over at me with what looks like a smile. She has these light colored eyes, not gold, but like a really light brown. And with her fluffy coat, she's is indeed a "Pretty Princess". Hugging her is cute...she will plop down so she can get a belly rub each time. And she loves to "high five"...sometimes a little too much and it can sting a little.
Princess isn't the nut Buddy is...she doesn't hang out of windows when I'm trying to mow the lawn. But, she does know how to open the sliding door to the patio..so I have to make sure it is always locked. And when she sees her brush.... she's ready to wrestle! She loves being brushed, but she also sees this a play time also. When I take her with me to my parent's house...as soon as she sees the dogs there, she's submissive. And once the greetings are all done...she's ready to romp with her "Auntie Ginger". We have to put those two in the backyard or they will tear up the place knocking things over. And oh yes, just like the others...she loves car rides. But she has better manners than the others...she "sits" in the back and quietly watches the scenery go by. Now, taking her for walks...that's a different story as she can pull! And if she sees a squirrel....I have to hang on cause she will want to chase after it! I keep telling her squirrels have attitude and they can get even....could be why that one likes to sit on the deck in plain view of the patio windows where it will have Princess going nuts. That little bugger will sit there while this dog is inside barking and turning in circles and driving me up the wall. And of course, once it's out of site, I let the dogs out, and yep...Princess is looking for her nemesis.
She is my Mom's favorite...Mom likes to call her "Air Bud". And she loves my Mom. When over to visit, she will sit/lay on a spot on the floor where she is close to me and to Mom. And if Mom is eating a sandwich, Princess will sit by her, with her paw on Mom's leg, waiting for her piece of the sandwich. She looks so cute with that hopeful look on her face. My youngest sister is always threatening me that she's going to take Princess home with her. Yes, Princess is quite the "hit" with the family.
So...with that, I'll keep this one "short and sweet"...like my Pretty Princess.
